Description
CZ-70 .32 ACP Pistol, Semi-Auto, Traditional Double Action, With 1 8 Round Mag... Surplus - Made in Czechoslovakia.
The small, pocket-sized Vz.70 Known commercially as the CZ-70... was developed originally during late 1940s for police use as the CZ-50 and was chambered in the marginally 7.65×17 Browning caliber ( known in the U.S. as .32 A.C.P. ) . Highly influenced by the Walther PP in design, the Vz.50 was similar to the Walther in appearance but had several differences in safety and disassembly. In the early 1970s the basic design went through minor face-lift, and the “new” design received the designation of Vz.70. The magazine release button is located relatively high on the left side of the frame, behind the trigger.

Watch 704 Tactical. He purchased one of these from classic and the condition was horrendous. Pitted and rusty frame and rusted internals and bore
I cannot speak for classics cz70's but I bought one of these from my LGS recently for @ $199. I rolled the dice with my purchase and didn't have any expectations until I ran a load of ammo through it. That was the best used gun purchase I've made in a long time, they are a lot of fun to shoot.
I agree they are fun to shoot.
BUT, 32 ACP is not an optimal self defense round.
This pistols sights are tiny.
Trigger pull in double AND single action are a bit heavy.
Extra magazines are about $40.
Range toy or plinker, definitely.
Self defense/carry gun, there are better options in the $250 range.
They were never meant to be target pistols; they were police issue [because in Yurp, the policeman with a .32acp trumps the thug with a knife...] and moreover, .32acp fights well above it's weight according to Marshall & Sanow's compilation of stats, coming in closely behind .380acp for effectiveness.
Don't blame me that the French chose .32acp Ruby pistols as their issue sidearm in WW1, which seems outright ludicrous, but they seemed to find it satisfactory? [Small wonder they went on to standardize on .32 Longue [.30 Pedersen by another name; they didn't want to admit to it being an American invention...] in between the wars.]
Regardless, I wouldn't buy anything from Classic Firearms unless I was physically in their shop to hand pick it myself and inspect it before sale: they have earned a terrible reputation for misrepresenting the condition of the surplus guns they sell.
Warning.
Reading reviews indicates hand select option does not guarantee a pistol in good shape. They will pull out 10 and you get the best of that group. If all 10 are crap, you get the best piece of crap.
Reviewers state they had to put work into their hand select pistols. Re-blueing, extensive cleaning and rust removal.
After hand select and shipping charges you could buy a new pistol,in a cheaper/better caliber.
I recently bought one in great shape, with an extra magazine, from a gun auction site for $10 more than Classic would have charged with hand select and shipping.
I own two of these clones in 9×18 mak.they r simple straight shooters little on the heavy side for carry as they are all metal
You're thinking of a different pistol; CZ never made the vz70 [which was merely a renovated vz50] in anything other than .32acp. Were you thinking of the little Polish knock-off of the Walther PPK in 9x18Mak, the P-64 instead?

Man, I sure wish I'd picked up one of these [well, the vz50 version; pretty much same-same: updates were very minor... And it would have been in undoubtedly FAR better shape than any surplus CF sells!] back in the '90s when they could be had for <$80...
