Nor would I... but it seems like the best option for a budget 2011-style range toy that is RMSc cut (that I also probably wouldn't trust my life with). I don't think many would want the overhang on something meant for CC anyway.
I grabbed one of these a couple of weeks ago (at ~$95) for a Tisas DS 1911 with direct-mount RMSc cut... this was the largest window budget RMSc I've come across. I have it mounted, and it does present a large window with an expected but not obnoxious amount of overhang. It bore-sighted fine with a laser, but no clicks in the E/W adjustments.
I haven't had it out yet, so only time will tell on zero-hold and durability... I've had good luck, in general, with other CVLife dots EXCEPT for their SRO look-alike, of which I've had two die with very minimal round counts. It seems that particular model is just a dud (it's one of their oldest models), as I've had zero issues with a handful of other (newer) models.
