OK I have had one for about 2 months, got it when they first came out. Circle/dot looks good, window is very small and build quality is nice but the issue I have had is it drains the battery when it is just sitting and not moving. Two times i have picked it up and the battery was dead or almost dead. Not suitable for a carry or home defense weapon because of this reason. I have several CV Life dots/models and this is the second one with this issue and by the time you realize the issue you are outside the return window. I put it on my G19 with Radian RJ/AB, Timney competition trigger and Magpul magwell which is a range gun Because of the hair trigger. It's fine in this role, I just have to remember to shut it off or the battery will be drained next time I pick it up. I have several Zulisy dots and none have this issue. I would recommend those over CV Life at this time. Cheers.
Anyone have one of these or experience with the brand? The price is tempting but obviously it is risky buying not well known brands with lots of real world experience. I just need an optic for my nightstand gun and interested in trying an enclosed optic like this one.
CVLife is pretty mixed on quality control. Amazon is nice because they have a very generous return policy. I'm in for one, bought a 3pack of batteries because they one they send will probably be trash. I'll try to throw it on a glock this weekend and let you know if it holds up. If not, it goes back. If it does, it'll look nice and receive far less abuse on the rail of a Ruger MkIV.
That said, i would not trust CVLife on a self defense gun. Your safety is worth more than a hundred bucks. Holosun at the VERY least.
