Ah, but you downvoted me TWICE for saying the exact same stuff.
Funny how that works isn't it Bubba ?
You’re a bit hypersensitive to my comment and looking for a fight here. I’m looking to spread correct information. Yes, there are some common threads between our comments. That doesn’t mean we said the same things with the same intentions.
The specific point you said in your post that I downvoted is:
“It's classic Colt overpricing even though they are owned by CZ now.”
I don’t agree with that position. Hence the downvote.
Get off your high horse, man. You’re being purposefully combative.
Better pick up this weapon of war that causes immediate decapitation. Brandon is coming for your guns.
So this is a newly mfg. LE instead of the parts sourced CR? With CZ owning Colt now I'm interested in where the parts are made. Are they all Colt parts as the older LE models were?
Even the LE-serialized Colts were made of mixed parts; the notion that the newer Colts are any less is BS. Colt hasn't made all the parts on the gun for decades.
It came covered in oil. Here it is with m7 bayonet and xps2.
At $500 premium over a regular 6920, Colt should pin a 4-prone on it, making it true SOCOM.
Standard 6920s don’t come with knights rails, matech back up irons, or a side sling swivel.
Neither does this.
It has a Troy rail and if you'll note the delta ring it is not a monolithic upper as is stated.
It's classic Colt overpricing even though they are owned by CZ now.
Lots of misinformation here.
It is a Colt, but it’s not actually the SOCOM model (14.7” barrel) OR the monolithic model (6940). It also DOES have the KAC rail, not a Troy rail. Description is wrong on a lot of points.
That said, this is in-line price-wise to the FN military collectors M4, which is comparable in features and function. Though the FN will probably have a better finish, better barrel that is 14.7” pin/weld, and retain its value better over time.
I’ve found that the new Colt/CZ models have pros and cons compared to the original Colt models. The same Colt factory is making these as the old stuff, but QC protocol seems to be better under CZs management. The parts are not all exactly mil-spec like the old stuff, though, as Colt has lost the majority of their GOV contracts and they now don’t need to follow those specifications as closely now. Old civilian Colts were made to GOV specs right alongside the models for the GOV contracts. The CZ models don’t seem to fall into that requirement.
They’re still great rifles.
