The receivers are machined from 7075-T6 aluminum allowing for a custom look and a durable black hardcoat anodized finish keeps everything protected from wear. The handguard is made from 6061 aluminum and features 7 sides of M-LOK slots for any accessory configuration you could want while the extended barrel nut provides exceptional rigidity. The 16" 5.56 barrel is made from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium with a Melonited finish, a mid-length gas system, and a 1:7 twist rate. Not really a deal, IMHO.

Heart and soul of the rifle is from Rosco. Hardly a $1300 rifle price point barrel. I’d personally rather go with something entry level from BCM, LWRC (DI models), Colt, FN, or spend just a little more for something from Daniel Defense or LMT.

Down to $1000. A bit better, considering the receivers and handguard build quality. At this price point, it’s not a bad option.
