If ya drilled and tapped it for a 7–35 x 56mm scope, would this classic beauty take down a Wascally Wabbit hopping down the bunny trail @ 10 yards ?

No, because you're not going to be able to find the bunny in such a high powered scope at such a close range. 10 yards? Just knock it over w/ a thrown rock...

If you did hit it w/ a .45 slug at such close range, well, let's just say there probably wouldn't be a whole lot of wabbit left to make your haasenpfeffer!

Remember, if you're new to C&B, this is NOT the gun to start with! Yes, it's an important historical design, and of course, the official state firearm of Texas, but you're far better off getting a belt-model Navy [.36 cal, .38 in today's parlance] or Army [.44cal nominal, what we'd call .45 today] repop, instead of this horse-pistol. And remember, Colt himself only ever built 1100 of these [1000 for the Army contract, plus another 10% for private sale, most of those having not passed Ordnance inspection so they were reworked for private sale or gifts to influential people]; he *immediately* began improving upon the Walker revolver to make it better for purpose. If you really want a horse-pistol [by the time of the Civil War, referred to as the "old model pistol of Army caliber" in Colt's literature], get a 3rd model Dragoon, with all the improvements [save one; nobody today is making a correct repop of the stocked model OMA, w/ falling leaf rear sight]: you'll be much more satisfied with the performance at the range or in the field.

That being said, if you want a Walker, you'd better get this now: the prices on the Italian C&B repops have only been going up since the GFM 15 years ago, and it doesn't look like they'll be going back down any time soon...
