“Target” in this case means it is not a hunting round. This isn’t match grade .22 ammo. There is a fairly significant difference in both cleanliness and accuracy between CCI and other cheaper .22 ammo. So if you want clean(er) and more accurate, CCI is a good place to start. This ammo can be had for around 7 cents / rd.

I have slung a lot of lead through Expensive Benchrest .22 Caliber rifles. IMHO, ammo that says “Target” didn’t make much of a difference @ poi. Only the price. .22 ammo shoots different. Try out different brands and see which one likes your rifle best for accuracy. When you find the one you like, “stock” up on that particular batch because if you buy that ammo again down the road, the accuracy can be way off. So, if you want to pay these prices, go for it, that’s your choice, but I won’t. Happy Planking.
