Based on your comment I'm guessing that you only own standard 30 round or larger capacity AR mags. I think it would likely benefit you to purchase at least one 20 round and one 10 round AR mag. They're quite handy to have on-hand when shooting from a bench, prone or anytime mag clearance problems arise. In the 1st customer video review of this product on the product page at Amazon the dude is using a 20 or 30 round mag (I didn't pay enough attention to tell which one) and the mag clears, but not by much. With the right mag this Caldwell product should work just fine with AR style rifles. A 10 round mag should easily clear. Looks like a good deal. I might buy one.
Yes, when I bring out out an AR, which isn't very often, I'm putting rounds down range in a flurry and having more fun rather than long range accuracy. I have other long range rifles that are much more accurate well beyond any AR. I make my own gun rests and benches from wood and bags to get a more accurate zero for me, the gun, and the scope. I mainly use my range for pistol practice because that is what I carry with me everyday. The price of this one is definitely a good deal but I don't see it lasting long.
Not a good choice for AR style rifles, the mag can hit the bottom of stand. For $25 it's a cheap way to sight in your 22 and about the same price as bench rest bags but with easy adjustments. The front section can be removed to sight in a pistol, so pretty good bang for your buck deal for Prime members.
