The Browning® BLR® Lightweight '81 Stainless Takedown Lever-Action Rifle delivers rapid fire with hard-hitting big game cartridges. The takedown model easily breakdowns into 2 units for transport, by flipping a finger lever, and twisting the barrel to 90 degrees from the receiver and pulling them apart; reassembly is in reverse order. A stout locking lug ensures point of impact returns to the same zero after reassembly.

The hardwood laminate buttstock and fore-end are incredibly rugged, and impervious to weather; and well-formed recoil pad helps keep the butt on your shoulder for quick follow-up shots. The barrel is constructed of stainless steel, and the lightweight alloy receiver comes with a nickel finish. The rifle comes with an adjustable, low-profile square notch rear sight, and a TRUGLO®/Marbles fiber-optic front sight. BLR rifles utilize a geared lever and bolt design that accommodates modern high-pressure rounds, and a detachable box magazine allows the use of pointed-tipped bullets, greatly increasing range, compared to traditional lever-actions with tubular magazines.

The trigger moves with the lever when it is cycled, preventing the trigger finger from being pinched when the lever is closed. The lightweight alloy receiver features side ejection, and is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. A unique hammer design has a half-cock safety that's quiet to operate.
