Description

The BAR traces its roots back to the original military M1918 design that helped the Allies to win World War II, and was introduced to the civilian market with the Sporting model in 1966. The rifle features a piston-driven autoloading system and a seven-lug bolt and has become the gold standard of auto-loading hunting rifles around the world. Mark II was introduced in 1993 and features an aluminum receiver for reduced weight along with a detachable box magazine accessible through a hinged floorplate. The Safari model features a blued receiver finish with a gloss-finished walnut stock and checker-cut grips.
This model is chambered in .30-06 Springfield and features a 22-inch barrel. One 4-round magazine is included.
