I've used this exact style of boresight to hit a bullseye at 50 yards with my 450 bushmaster. If used correctly, these things are awesome!
Was at the range one day and a friend and I were sighting in our muzzle loaders. He was getting very frustrated by not being able to hit his target after the first shot went high and right. After making major changes to his sights he finally figured out the target he put up already had a hole in it from a prior time lol. A bore sight came in very handy that day.
