Maybe I am missing something but what the hell is a "y gun"? Either way I don't like seeing 1 off used guns on this site. That's what places like Gunbroker is for. Not too mention this is not any sort of good deal. I can find these at my local pawn shop for under $400. Especially in .40 cal...

A Beretta "Y-Gun" means it's a used gun that Beretta USA got their hands on and inspected (and possibly tested, idk, theyre not super transparent about this process.) They stamp an upside-down "Y" next to the serial number as a proof stamp that it's been through this factory inspection.
That said, I agree that this is not a good deal for this gun; it's something you'd expect to find on Gunbroker
