The Beretta APX A1 Carry pistol extends the proven APX Series to a sub-compact carry size. The APX A1 Carry comes standard with a 6+1 (Flush or with pinky extension) and an 8+1 (Extended) magazine, enhanced ergonomics, crisp Trigger, and Red Dot Ready. As with all APX A1 series pistols, the APX A1 Carry has been designed specifically for military and law enforcement users who have a need for ultra concealment but want similar handling characteristics and ergonomics to their duty pistols.
The APX A1 Carry features an end user removable serialized chassis and can be easily modified with replaceable grip frame housings, as well as a red dot ready slide with 4 available optics mounting patterns. Burris/Docter, C-More, Shield, and Holosun K Series optics currently supported. Controllability and ergonomics are an APX focus: Low-Bore Axis, easily manipulated slide catch, reversible magazine release, aggressive slide serrations, and a short, crisp trigger that breaks at ~6 lbs make it the perfect concealed carry choice. • I'm trying to stay very objective. The trigger did absolutely blow right of the box, felt like free travel forever, then more of a bind than a wall you had to get past, no confidence in ability to hold sights on target thru that break so I sent it into the factory for service before ever shooting it, along with a letter of complaint quoting their marketing statement about new improved trigger with a lighter break, and lo and behold it came back with a similar feel right up until the break that is now measuring around 4.5lbs, probably they lightest feel they should go on a pistol with no manual safety and at least fulfills their marketing statement versus the original APX Carry. I have no idea what they did to it, no letter or description of the service performed, but they did throw in 2 extra mags and a small Beretta Gun Rug/Case to answer my other complaints. So I need to get used to the staging/break point but now feel I have a usable firearm that I got dirt cheap on New Years Eve from Locked and Loaded to take advantage of last year's bigger rebate, that I received two days before I got the pistol back from the service center, so I'm in this one for less than you would pay for a Burris FF red dot alone, that came factory installed on the model I got. Apart from the trigger, I like the feel in my hand, reasonably lightweight including Burris red dot. I also got the free mounting plate offer in case I want to switch red dots later. It carries pretty well IWB, but I am still trying to perfect the right cant/depth as the hood of the red dot can catch/pull on your pants or belt where with just irons that wasn't an issue. The one unforgiveable marketing/design issue I have is that there is no blank plate included with the optics equipped version of the pistol, nor is one available as a part, so the entire Beretta product becomes dependent upon the red dot as with it removed, you have no rear sight, its designed to be on the blank plate. They should have milled the optics cut area in front of the rear sight so it was available with/without the optic. They answered this specific complaint in my letter, in an entirely unexpected way, instead of just going down to the production line and grabbing a plate w sight from the non red dot equipped models, the gun rug they sent me was way too heavy and when I opened it, there was an entire slide assembly with the rear sight plate, but also including barrel and springs. So I have to give them an A+ on service, value and responding to a customer's complaints, but overall 3 out of 5 stars based on the trigger out of the box, having to immediately send it in for service to get it workable.

  • Be sure and dry fire one before you buy it. I bought one over the 'net because of the $100 rebate. I love everything else about the gun but the trigger. I really wish I hadn't bought it. Yeah, it's that bad. Anybody wanna trade?

  • The trigger is awful. Check out my video on YouTube. I emailed Beretta 4 times and still haven't heard from them. Lesson learned, no more Beretta products. Here's the video https://youtu.be/Xl1uRYeU7Sk

Beretta might have the worst warranty in the business. 1 year plus an additional 2 years (if you register on their website) for a max of 3 year warranty. I work for a FFL and we have stopped carrying beretta due to issues and poor warranty, with the 92x series being the exception. Beretta is a disappointment, honestly. Sad to say

While I love the looks, the size, the ergonomics, and the handling-the trigger flat SUCKS! My Taurus G2c has a much better trigger! Beretta really screwed the pooch with this one. There's a reason they were so cheap and had a $100 rebate Not worth it even with a $200 rebate, IMO...
