  • By TurkeyNutz 3 months ago
    Purchased on: October 2025
  • These things are supposedly VERY hit or miss, and trying to get a good one is a total crapshoot. Mine suffers a ridiculous amount of light strikes, and if it's dirty at all, it starts failing to eject (and consider yourself lucky if you can extract the casing with your fingernail). Once in a while it won't strip a round from the magazine, but this is a bit more rare. Nevertheless, this gun is horribly unreliable, even by rimfire standards. Only comes with one (supposedly difficult to find) flimsy-feeling magazine. Naturally, a couple of months after I bought mine, dealers are offering deep discountss, trying to dump them. Frankly, I wouldn't even pay the sale prices, knowing what I know now. I love the concept of a smaller, suppressor-ready .22 LR with tall sights, but this model is an abortion.

They need to take this down. I purchased mine over a month ago and still haven't received it.

Ordered mine almost 2 months ago, they have told me they were due to get them in last week, still hasn’t shipped.

Jerebediah, KyGun is a reputable company. I think the “preorder” is what’s going on. Hang in there. I think you’ll be fine, but I know it sucks to wait. Good luck.

Good deal if you like gambling; mine isn't good for much more than a range toy, but apparently some people get good ones? Horribly unreliable, even by rimfire standards.

Just got one as well and same thing. Have tried mini mags, coco standard velocity and Aguila. Thing is a piece of crap in all honesty

Have you tried contacting Beretta? I've heard of guys having trouble with light strikes from round not fully seating which they solved by polishing feed ramp and chamber area.

I just ordered one hoping it's a "good one"

Yes, I will be sending it in for repair or replacement. I thought crud might be building up on the chamber rim, but cleaning it did not fix the issue. Perhaps I was not aggressive enough, but despite the fact that this should not be necessary for such an expensive .22 LR with such a low round count, the problem is worse with a can, so the problem is at least partially caused by the dimensional relation of the barrel to the slide and firing pin. Good luck with yours, at least you got it much cheaper than I did...

I got one in as well about a week and a half ago. Same issues. It’s honestly the biggest piece of crap I have in my collection. Have tried all different kinds of ammo, too unreliable with a

I'm surprised you purchased one after "douggie" recently posted about the problem in a different PSA deal thread for the same pistol where you replied; "Thanks for saving me $350" - I reckon you ended up changing your mind and purchased one anyway? I'm not saying there's anything wrong with changing your mind.

If I was you I'd send it back to Beretta for warranty repair or replacement like "TurkeyNutz" above is going to do, or already has done. If you do so, update/s would be appreciated. Hopefully they'll get that rascal functioning as it should for you. I've never owned a tip-up but they've always interested me. Best of luck.

I should’ve listened to him, in all honesty. I may do that or just sell to pawn shop for nothing. Good thing is it was only $280 after transfer and rebate
