The best feature of this upper assembly is that it comes with a BA Hanson Profile barrel. These barrels have a unique shoulder-less design which allows them to symmetrically limit barrel “whip”. This results in more accurate follow-up shots, especially when you are shooting fast or at full auto.
The barrel is 16 inches long and is made from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel, which has better corrosion resistance, strength, and heat dissipation properties. This upper assembly o features a melonite-coated gas tube, which offers improved heat and corrosion resistance.
This upper comes with the Ballistic Advantage Logic M-LOK handguard. This 15-inch handguard is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and features M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, along with a full top Picatinny rail for mounting optics and other accessories.
The aluminum BA upper receiver comes with M4 feed ramps for improved feeding reliability and has a standard Mil-Spec profile with a forward assist and port door.
