Anyone have input on the performance of it ?

I agree with Living in part, but IMHO, I don’t think it would be that detrimental on a .22 Lr. With Zamak 5 composite.

While I always appreciate a manufacturer being honest about the materials used in manufacturing a firearm, the fact they listed that this particular pistol is made with ZAMAK Alloy is not flattering. For those who may not know, Zamak is "pot metal " and some seriously inferior material. A lot of the "ring of fire" firearms like Bryco, Jennings, Lorcin and HiPoint pistols. The Zamak is a seriously inferior material and I would suggest one to check for themselves before making a decision. For $279 I personally would not touch this pistol. Way to many better made guns at this price range and some even much less money. As always this is my opinion and you are entitled to your own. I am not leaving this comment to argue or disrespect others. If you want to buy this pistol by all means have at it! I'm simply sharing some information

Well, ZAMAK (Z) is not pot metal. Pot metal is pot metal. You're conflating for effect. The pot metal used in containers, toys, watch parts of the 30's was an impure mixture of unknown amounts of the alloys, and usually included lead and tin. It got a bad name because it was frequently used in European items which came to the US, and we hated crappy metal because we had excellent ore sources. I still have some of those Z antiques in my home. Today Z has specific percentages of alloys, (zinc, alum, mag, cop) based on degrees, and again more frequently used by Euro smelters. I don't particularly like it because it can be difficult for me to repair, but before the buyer disregards it, they should know that it can be very clean and strong, inexpensive, and is in fact used in many currently accepted firearms.....see the old Colt .22, Ruger Wrangler, Henry rifle receivers, Heritage 22's, etc. which were and are produced by the millions.

I was not "conflating for effect". I have no skin in the game and was simply sharing the information that I found while researching this particular pistol. I have no issues with someone sharing their input and information that is different than my statement and as I am human, I may not always have everything 100% correct. Again I was sharing what I found on the Internet. We all know the inconsistency the Internet puts out. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts, information and opinion. If I am incorrect that's ok. I am always open to learning something new. With all due respect, here's the information I found during my research. IDK why my pics always turn blurry when sharing but I think one can at least see the answer regarding Zamak as pot metal.

My opinion didn't require that insult. I apologize for that. It was unwarranted. Have a great day, and happy shooting to you.

Types of ZAMAK are used in many brands of firearms and have been for decades. It has been very popular in 22's. It's inexpensive, and it works. I sell lots of Wrangler and Heritage revolvers made of the stuff. Ruger and Heritage and Henry sell so much of it I figured most buyers were aware. They are reliable guns in small calibers. "Pot metal" is an inaccurate label for current production pieces.

Livin-I agree this pistol is overpriced for what it is. There are better alternatives at or below this price point. People should make informed decisions so thanks for sharing. https://ozarkdie.com/zinc-alloys-zamak-3-vs-zamak-5-vs-zamak-7-vs-za-8-selection-guide/...
