Description
The ATI Alpha Maxx is built on a mil-spec style platform and chambered in 5.56mm NATO, providing compatibility with both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition. The 7.5-inch barrel offers compact maneuverability while maintaining effective terminal performance for close-quarters applications. A 7-inch M-LOK free-floating handguard provides ample space for mounting lights, grips, or other accessories while keeping the weight down.
The pistol comes equipped with a stabilizing brace, enhancing control during rapid fire and improving overall handling. A 60-round magazine is included for extended range sessions with fewer reloads. The receiver is constructed from lightweight yet durable aluminum, and standard AR-15 controls make operation intuitive for experienced users. This compact platform is ideal for shooters looking for AR performance in a more portable format.

This is from the other member who bought this exact deal.
Here's what he said if you didn't already read his comment
"Trigger and hammer is polymer as well so I made swap lowers".
This is exactly what I was talking about when I said the confusion and mixed descriptions are hard to know what's what.
In no way would I want an all polymer gun that also has plastic triggers and hammer. Like seriously, a plastic hammer on a rifle is like trying to use a child's plastic toy hammer to build a house....no thanks, nor am I buying something that you have no idea of exactly what you're getting. Is it all polymer? Is it aluminum lowers? Does it have steel or plastic internals, etc etc.
I don't care how cheap something this firearm is, beyond an occasional range trip, these are not my choice for defending my family. Over time polymer WILL ABSOLUTELY crack and or warp over time due to heat and high pressures. If it was just a lower that was polymer then I could accept that but the upper, chamber and internals being polymer? Nope.
Why do you think that every single generation they come out with has had more and more METAL reinforcement molded into the stress points of the firearm? If polymer doesn't warp and or crack over time why add the reinforcement? It's because they know.
Glad to hear you are happy with your pistol. It's hard to keep track of specific "SKU's" and that many of these advertise a plastic trigger and internals. Same with the polymer upper and lowers but some are aluminum uppers, etc. The description says this one has an aluminum receiver? I can tell from the pic that at least the upper is polymer. You can tell by looking at the shell deflector. For an occasional range shooter these are probably ok however someone like me who shoots at least once a week, hundreds of rounds a month, I don't believe these would hold up as much as an all aluminum and steel weapon. Polymer DOES warp and breakdown over time from heat and pressure. Over and over the rapid heating and cooling causes breakdown. I don't care what anyone thinks, this is fact. Why else would these companies offering all polymer guns, every new version keeps getting more and more steel "reinforcement"? So yeah I'm happy for you and that your happy with your gun, overall that's what matters most.
Well now they're advertising this has a lightweight aluminum receiver yet everyone says both the upper and lower are polymer. Polymer is so prevelant that even the trigger pack and hammer are plastic. I don't know what the hell is going on because previously this ad didn't say anything about being polymer or aluminum but now says it's an aluminum receiver but that's not true.it also says it milspec which is a load of crap.....
I just bought this exact one and it is Polymer lower and upper. The price came total from Dahlonega Armory with Shipping was $311.65 out the door it took 2 days to ship to my local FFL. It comes with decent plastic pop up sights a 60 round Magazine and a little packet of Lucas gun oil which you will need because everything is bone dry on this firearm. BCG and Charging handle are typical generic brand. Buffer spring is really tight, slightly harder to charge than my full size AR and probably because it’s has tighter spring for appropriate size of 7.5 inch barrel. Trigger and hammer is polymer as well so I may swap lowers but the current set up is around 5 pounds without fully loaded 60 round magazine. I would absolutely buy from Dahlonega again and I think with my local FFL transfer fee of $40 I paid a total of $351.65 out the door
So what's your verdict? Is the plastic parts actually functional?.how many rounds you put thru it so far? Does the polymer trigger and hammer holding up?
this p.o.s. is made of a polymer lower. DO NOT BUY! they don't specify on the website. SCAM!!!!
Agreed! Not just polymer lower and upper but even the trigger pack and internals are plastic. If you want something to just sit in your safe and not ever be used, I guess it will work but anyone with commen sense understands that plastic and high pressure, high heat do not mix. At some point shooting your gun. Heating it up, cooling it down over and over, shooting sustained fire, and in all types of outdoor environments is going to crack and or warp the plastic parts. They can say that certain parts are reinforced with metal but that right there should be a red flag. Over the years they've had to add more and more "reinforcement" due to failures in the polymer. So all they've done is add bandaids to the biggest problem... Plastic parts! Spend a few more dollars and get a PSA, BCA, Anderson, Kerris guns, all aluminum firearms. Don't get tempted here with the price.... Save the Tupperware for the dishes, not your AR firearms.
"XMOS" why are you down voting my comment and opinion on this gun and others that I have criticized? Am I not allowed my opinion or to share my experience and quite frankly my expertise? I have been in law enforcement, private security and as a firearms instructor for the department of public safety standards and training here in my home state. I've been in the industry for almost 30 years. So yeah please explain? I am open to a respectful conversation.
You are doing the very same thing you're accusing him of. Obviously with a downvote, he disagrees with your opinion. Is he not entitled to his opinion?

Bought one. Fast shipping. Took it out and put a few magazines through it. Works well. Mine came with both polymer upper and lower but upper was reinforced. I mean, for $311 for tax and everything it is hard to beat. Put a red dot on it and zeroed and it shoots like a dream. I put a linear compensator on it and a hand stop foregrip. It is fun to shoot. Not sure why everyone is saying it has a plastic trigger and hammer? Mine wasn't. It was metal. Not sure what kind but it certainly was. I don't see why you wouldn't want this? I guess time will tell if anything breaks but it was fun shooting it this weekend.
