Other companies will just pick up the slack. The market exists for decent made Ak's. Every company is making a better quality product lately.. I see no reason for 1000 plus AK's..
too bad , kinda wanted one but forget it now . will get the new RD AK or kalash USA , maybe the new polish AK company , vepr . too many other options IMO
Just propaganda so their product's market prices can go up. Shady...
The people's revolutionary army of Texas getting ready for operation jade helmet? Lol
I picked up a Arsenal SLR106fr the other day as I've always thought they were neat. Stupid me didn't check the rifle over well enough and the front sight is canted, rear sight canted, hanguards canted etc. Just can't believe that's normal for a $1000 AK. Arsenal's customer service is leaving a lot to be desired. I've been going back and forth with them. Told me the rifle isn't under warranty because its a 2013 model, even though they have a 1 year warranty from time of purchase. After I showed them their own warranty they're asking for proof of purchase and I'll have to pay to have it shipped to them for repair. I really don't even trust them to fix the issues correctly at this point. Wanted to pick up a 104fr as I already own a Saiga 5.45 conversion. Don't think I want to give them anymore business.
I have owned two Arsenals and one Rifle Dynamics. I sold the 2 Arsenals and will never sell the RD, it is a superior rifle.
I love my arsenal 107 but you are right it crazy overpriced. I bought a milled receiver us made century 39 for less than my stamped arsenal. Both have comparable grouping but the fit and finish is a little better on the arsenal.
Here we go again - why does the gun industry thrive on scare tactics and panic to justify cranking prices? Wikiarms posted this? What's in it for them?
Not like Arsenal aren't already over-priced to begin with but I'd still take a Norinco over any Aresenal that's ever been available commercial market. Norinco's haven't been available for years but you can still find them for less than an Arsenal... Hmmmmm
Scare people into buying more, at a higher markup, then ramp up production just enough to supply orders while having enough delays to reinforce the illusion of a shortage.
Last but not least blame the government for the entire situation while playing the victim. Sadly the masses fall for it hook, line, and sinker and ask “may I have another, please?”
Reminds me of the oil industry.….
I have a milled Norinco and although I wouldn't trade it for an Arsenal, I would rather have an Arsenal. I have handled and shot a couple of friends Arsenals and I really like all aspects of them. They definitely aren't cheap! But I have spent thousands on AR15 parts for builds and still can't bring myself to drop the coin on an Arsenal. Also, what "shift" towards the military are they talking about? Are we adopting Kalashnikov platforms now?
I'll gladly buy your Norinco or trade you for one of my Arsenals...
Seriously - message me if you're interested - or anyone else for that matter. I'd buy or trade your Poly Tech or Norinco Chicom AK for cash or trade for one of my Arsenals of equal value.

Shifts focus on military? They won a bid on a contract? Interesting, from what this is saying they don’t have the in-house capability to fabricate enough to sustain a commercial market. I like the arsenals AK’s iv gotten to shoot and examine but could never justify the price over a yugo let alone a wasr, they all rust equally
