Most of the rifles in this price range do not have free float handguards. This has free float hanguards. I consider free floats one of the great advantages of the ar-15. This configuration is ideal for the average user who will mount a reddot , prism or LPVO. No front sight out there to obstruct the optic like most bargain 15s. anderson is solid I have had no problems. The 'only negative is a carbine gas system. A mid is better and intermediate ideal for 16". A consideration but not a deal killer. There are some that actually prefer a carbine gas but they are the minority nowadays. Moving the gas farther out improves the timing and the guns shoot smoother. Carbine gas advocates believe the higher bolt speed helps function when the gun is dirty. I myself have encountered timing issues with carbine gas particularity with 62gs m855. The vast majority of ar 15s have carbine gas and they run just fine. IMO this is a exceptionally good value probably the best value I have seen. I would not hesitate to recommend this purchase to anybody desiring a entry level 15 who intends to use optics. That puts what has become probably the best semi rifle in the world with decent optics into someones hands for 6-700 ish. Pretty incredible value.

The price they show here is a good deal yes, but you have to take into account it does not say free shipping and there’s gonna be tax and maybe some other fees.
