Powered by the ATN Obsidian II Core and a HD 1080p L130 sensor, this scope delivers crisp visuals day or night with a 9° angle of view and an ultra-wide 460 ft field of view at 1,000 yards. The 50mm objective lens, smooth digital zoom, and multiple reticle options make it versatile for both close and long-range applications. The Recoil Activated Video (RAV) system captures video the moment you fire, while the built-in microphone records audio for immersive playback.
Additional smart features include a ballistic calculator, smart rangefinder, electronic compass, and GPS geotagging—all of which feed data into the Smart Shooting Solution for precision on-the-fly adjustments. Two cons are the weight and quick battery drain. An external battery is a necessity.
Also digital NV has improved a lot in the (almost) a decade since this was released. That being said, for $200, it probably works better than any other $200 NV that is rated for firearm recoil.
Regarding weight, most people are going to be using these from a static position for varmint control. Weight wouldn't be much of a concern for that but would be for hunting on the move.
Careful, this may look like a great price compared to other ATN DNV scopes but this is a 2017 model.
