The .223 Wylde chambering was designed by Bill Wylde as a way to take advantage of .223 Remington's accuracy while being able withstand the pressures of 5.56 NATO. Enjoy the best of both worlds!
This barreled upper includes a 16" fluted barrel made with 416R stainless steel. The flutes reduce the weight and increase the surface area of the barrel, helping it cool faster while you're blasting rounds. The 416R allows for higher precision rifling for increased accuracy.
The foundation of this barreled upper is designed to be durable and lightweight. Aero's M4E1 Upper Receiver is made with a unique one-piece design that machines the handguard mounting platform into the upper itself. Having those two parts made into the same 7075 T6 aluminum forging increases the strength of the receiver. It also allowed Aero to carve away extra material from the receiver to reduce the weight and increase cooling efficiency.
The barreled upper is enclosed in Aero's lightweight Gen 2 Enhanced Handguard. The single piece free-float M-LOK handguard includes scalloped rails, anti-rotation tabs and a continuous top rail.
This is a great upper to snap on for the range when you want to reap the benefits of a stainless steel barrel and .223 Wylde chambering to hit targets. Made in the U.S.A. as a high-quality, lightweight package from Aero Precision!
