I wouldn't buy an Aero at this price, or from Tombstone due to sales tax, but these aren't just basic parts. And I don't need an anodized green ambi rifle, but the itemized total is roughly $1300, it's available now off the shelf, and it isn't assembled by an unknown kitchen table gunsmith with no warranty. If your built rifle is used for plinking or competition all is good, but for resale value or self defense litigation the buyer will appreciate this finished rifle.
While AP is a good deal company I just can't justify the cost vs what I could build, better and for less money. Also there are plenty of other companies offering the same spec's for must less money. Truthfully there isn't much special about this specific rifle. It's pretty much just basic parts, branded with the Aero precision name. It's one of those things were basic firearms selling at inflated prices because of the company name branding.
I could build a very nice, upgraded rifle with top quality parts for well under $1300.
