Description
The PMR-30 is a lightweight, full size pistol (.22WMR). The PMR-30 operates on a unique hybrid blow back/locked-breech system, allowing for the use of a wide variety of ammunition as it seamlessly adjusts depending on the pressure of the cartridge. It uses a flush fit, 30-round double stack Zytel nylon magazine with round count ports. The trigger is a crisp single action with an over travel stop. It has a thumb-activated ambidextrous safety lever. The slide locks back after the last shot and a manual slide lock lever is also provided. The slide and barrel are 4140 steel, the frame is 7075 aluminum. The grip, slide cover, trigger, mag release, and safety levers are glass reinforced nylon (Zytel). Other features include: dual opposing extractors for reliability, heel magazine release to aid in magazine retention, dovetailed aluminum front sight, Picatinny accessory rail under the barrel, urethane recoil buffer, and captive coaxial recoil springs. It has a fluted barrel for light weight and effective heat dissipation. PMR30 disassembles for cleaning by removal of a single pin.

The prices may cross and stay below MSRP soon
So once again a retailer that has at least 1 of these in stock goes MSRP + lobster dinner for two. Sadly Kel-tec can't keep up with demand for any of their products and thus its what we learned in high school.. supply vs. demand. I really can't think of any other manufacturer that can't anticipate/learn from demand and ramp up for it when the demand has been more than a few months.
From kel-tec's website:

Capacity: 30 + 1 rounds
Trigger pull: 4-6 lbs 17.8-26.7N
MSRP $415.00
Still way over MSRP. I will admit the firearm is intriguing. But after handling one, it feels cheaply made. I might buy one for $350 or so, if I wanted to track down 22WMR to feed it.
Everyone wants one of these and who wouldn't? There's nothing else like it on the market. But a polymer for $500? not me I'm too cheap.
I would be much more interested in Kel-Tec products if they just didn't use so many screws. I know it sounds petty, but it gives their products a very cheaply-made feel.
They are like the Ryobi of the gun world - they make products that have some great design ideas, but the execution just leaves a lot to be desired.
Screws and glue. These thigs were so scarce because they were getting so many returns that each time a gun came back they had to stop and put it in front of the line. read what Yankee Marshall says about these on utube, It's known well in the business for FTF 's.
I have been waiting for a deal and missed out, but thanks for the poster as I started clicking on vendors underneath and low and behold buds had a black one for 499.00 shipped feel better now..thanks postee
they had one in OD green, I picked it up, thanks whoever posted this.
Would love to see this w/ longer barrel, maybe heavy target style, and adjustable sights. Then it would make a fine competitor to a Ruger Mk II/III Heavy barrel target .22LR... .22 WMR should be a fine target and varmint round; just needs some nice hand gun styles rather than single sixes! What's your ideas? regards...
Totally agree about the 22LR version. When I saw this pistol a year ago or so I couldn't figure out why they don't have more high cap 22LR pistols.
There were some issues with keyholing in the early versions of these. From what I understand, they've fixed it but you need to take off the slide and look at the barrel to tell which version it is. I can't remember what the 'correct' version is supposed to look like but I'm sure this info is online somewhere.
I'd like to see it in Hot Pink....momma needs her gun to match her shoes!
I'd like to see some dealer pricing showing a higher than MSRP price from KelTec. My guess is gouging by the dealer.
This looks pretty cool. A 30 round capacity is nice. I wonder how the quality is compared to other Kel-Tec. I have heard they are getting better.
Kel tec is limiting distribution of their products so they can raise there prices. i.e the rfb and the ksg.
They couldn't possibly be busy making aircraft parts with higher profit margins and devoting less time to making guns ?
Good luck finding one for Mrsp. I paid 800 bucks for mine. I suck.
I don't know, I've owned one of these for almost two years, I paid 399 shipped for mine which was a good deal at the time, I have never had an issue with my firearm, IF you load it with CCI 40 Grain or equivalent and follow the instructions on how to properly load a magazine, it will function as designed, But with the influx of people into the the shooting world that need to stick to revolvers, Its no wonder why these weapons get a bad name. FOLLOW INSTRUCTION its really pretty simple.
