The Fortis Clutch charging handle was designed with simplicity in mind and for those that use the palm method to charge their weapons. Fortis F1 Optics Mount is designed to work in conjunction with Aimpoint's popular Micro H-1, or T-1 optics. This mount will also work with the new Primary Arms Micro Dot with Removable Base with Flip Caps. It will not work with any previous generation PA Microdot. When designing the new Fortis Lightweight Enhanced lock nut and endplate system, the goal was to keep weight light and eliminate the use of complicated tools, wrenches, and ratchets. The K1 system has a conical lock nut to seal itself on the endplate. This ultra-precise fit allows the lock nut to be in place and locked in without staking the endplate. There is no ratchet, no set screws, and the K1 castle nut won't back out. No torque wrench is required. Just tighten to 1/4ths, turn off hand tightness. While most AR safety selectors in the market today rely on standard socket/torx screws, the Fortis SS FIFTY was engineered with our patent pending RidgeKey locking mechanism. This system allows the levers to secure itself onto the selector core with a solid point of contact and thus eliminating any weak points in the system. Our selector core is coated in black nitride, giving you a smoother surface and superior resistance to wear.
