The Sauer SL5 Waterfowl is a semi-automatic 12-gauge shotgun designed specifically for waterfowl hunting. It features an inertia-driven operating system, renowned for its simplicity and reliability, requiring fewer parts and less maintenance compared to gas-operated systems. This design ensures consistent performance in harsh conditions. The SL5 Waterfowl is available in three models: Fred Bear Old School Camo, Fred Bear Old School Camo with brown Cerakote barrel and action, and Black Synthetic. Constructed with a steel upper receiver for strength and an aluminum lower receiver to reduce weight, the SL5 Waterfowl balances durability with maneuverability. It comes standard with a 3.5-inch chamber, accommodating 2 ¾-, 3-, or 3.5-inch shotshells, and a 3+1 capacity. Barrel lengths of 26, 28, or 30 inches are available, each featuring a chrome-lined, stepped rib for enhanced accuracy. Additional features include sling attachment points, a Cervellati recoil pad, a rubber comb, and a red fiber-optic front sight for quick target acquisition.
