The KelTec SUB2000 Gen3 is a pistol-caliber carbine known for its unique folding mechanism, which makes it highly compact for storage and transport. This latest generation features a blowback-operated system, utilizing a combination of polymer and aluminum components to maintain a lightweight profile at just 4 lbs, 6 oz. with an empty magazine. It supports various pistol magazines, including those from Glock, Beretta, and Smith & Wesson. The carbine has a 16.15" carbon steel barrel that's threaded for attachments and sports a two-stage trigger. Significant updates in the Gen3 model include a rotating fore-end that allows optics to remain mounted even when the carbine is folded. This iteration lacks iron sights but includes a long Picatinny rail on the fore-end for mounting optical sights. The inclusion of M-Lok slots on the fore-end provides versatility for accessory attachment, and the carbine's grip has been redesigned to be shorter, fitting Glock 19, G17, and extended magazines. This model retains the familiar KelTec aesthetics with its black polymer frame and offers an adjustable length of pull on the stock, enhancing its ergonomic adaptability.
