The Cimarron Thunderer is a reproduction of the Colt Model 1877 "Thunderer" double-action revolver, traditionally chambered in .45 Colt, .44-40 Winchester, or .357 Magnum. The revolver features a distinctive bird's head grip frame with period-style walnut grips, case-hardened frame, and blued barrel and cylinder. Available in multiple barrel lengths including 3.5-inch (Sheriff's Model), 4.75-inch (Standard), and 5.5-inch versions. The six-shot cylinder loads through a traditional right-side loading gate, and the revolver can be fired either double-action or single-action. Notable features include an enclosed ejector housing (unlike the exposed ejector rod of the Single Action Army), traditional fixed sights with blade front sight, and period-correct finish combinations.
