The 680 series, the workhorse of the Beretta line, is the best over/under shotgun ever produced in terms of productivity and dependability. These are excellent firearms that offer excellent value. They are quite dependable, have a nice appearance, and handle nicely. The selection of models, which covered a wide price range and was suited for both field and competition shooting, was considerable. The 680 series has now mainly been replaced by the 690 models, however, it is still present in the market and popular among shotgun enthusiasts. The various 687 EELL variants are pricey, high-end shotguns with hand-selected walnut stocks and finely etched side plates. The 686 Silver Pigeon 1 is Beretta's reasonably priced entry-level over/under at the other end of the spectrum. Three variations of the 12-gauge Silver Pigeon are available: the Field, Sporter, and Sporting Vittoria. For shotgun enthusiasts who seek a model that is adaptable enough to function as a hunting gun and as a capable performer on clay targets, Beretta's Sporting model shotguns are a great option.
