Ruger American Rifle is one of the most popular and one of the best budget rifles in the USA. It was launched in 2011 and had modest success at first. There are 7 different models available in a variety of configurations and calibers. These rifles share Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger with an adjustable pull weight between 3 and 5 pounds, very adequate for hunters and shooters at long distances. Its synthetic composition makes the rifle lightweight and pretty durable. It is manufactured with a 70 – degree throw so it cycles smoothly with most ammo. The Ruger American rifles are equipped with Picatinny scope, which has a slightly wider, and slightly deeper slot. There are no iron sights, so the shooters can choose the optics they want. The magazine capacity is 4 rounds, and it is made of rotary plastic which makes it pretty lightweight. A soft rubber butt pad reduces the recoil as much as it’s possible. The overall length of the rifle is 42.5 inches, with a cold-hammer-forged 22-inch barrel, and it weighs only a bit over 6 pounds. The standard model is available in diverse calibers, such as 30-06, 243 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, etc. Ruger did an excellent job combining plastics for lightweight, and metal for strength and durability.
