The Taurus Spectrum is a subcompact, double-action-only pistol chambered in .380 ACP, and it comes with a 6+1-round magazine capacity. Initially, it was offered in a wide range of color combinations, but the black version got the highest popularity among users. The gun is built on a polymer frame with a striker-fired system, but unlike some other striker-fired guns, it doesn’t require a trigger pulled for disassembling. The stainless-steel slide doesn’t have serrations, but it is lined with over-molded rubberized inserts on both sides for better gripping. Those inserts are also applied on the backstrap and the front strap. The factory sights are integral and notched. The gun is designed to be comfortable, with good trigger reach and excellent control. In terms of safety, there is an internal drop safety that prevents any accidental discharges.
