Well worth the money..... Carbon steel holds an edge very good even under heavy use, but the down side is, it rust..... even if you keep it oiled.....What's really neat is playing around with "forced patina" (vinegar/mustard/lemon juice/etc). This definitely helps with the rust issue and gives it a distinct custom look (I work off of the tiger stripes patterns). There's all kind of info on YouTube of all the different ways of doing it, plus it's super easy with quick results (within hours)....after doing one, I bought more (different lengths and thickness) to give away to family and friends.....cheap gift, fun to do, and helps with the rust issues
