I'm in for one, but be aware of the dimensions. 36" is fine for most AR and AK style rifles but it isn't long enough for my shotgun. Wish they had this in a 44" length.

wbuhrman, They do make one that's longer, in fact they have five different models for this bag in all sizes, big and small. I think the Amazon seller here is Zcorr themselves, perhaps call them and ask if you can select the size you need.

One tip I can tell you is if you don't intend to vacuum seal it, just buy the Velcro closure, the vacuum seal model uses a heavy duty ziplock bag type of closure. I have both styles, both are great products and as I mentioned, these new reinforced Zcorr bags are nice products.

Edit: Here's their direct contact number to see if you can change the order to best suit your needs.

Crabbysam,
Thanks. I was able to find the longer version of this tactical bag on Amazon for $21.99. Link below:

Unless you're burying your rifles in the backyard to hide 'em from the guv'ment and black helicopters, this is expensive and extreme. Clean your gun, oil it up, and put it away in an air-conditioned environment...done. Then take it out, shoot it, and repeat as needed.

I definitely don't agree, these bags are fantastic, and the new ones that are reinforced are kick ass, at the time I last bought one, they were almost $50 for the reinforced Zcorr bag. If this is that same one, this is a very good deal. The new ones are very hard to puncture, the old ones were still a great product, but prone to punctures, but nothing aluminum foil tape cannot fix.

I live in Florida with super high humidity, and when I go away for an extended time, I place my favorite firearms in these bags and store them in my A/C climate controlled gun vault. (The house I bought had a safe room, I didn't even know it. It was a short sale, once I found this room, I converted it to a climate controlled gun locker. My old gun safe is a decoy stuffed only with ammo. If they steal it, they will get a hernia for sure)

I don't bury my guns but if it makes any difference, I flew almost daily in a black helo on Uncle Sam's dime.

If you are tired of using Dry Rid and moisture desiccants or electric dry rods, this product can save you money and aggravation. Not to mention, in the unlikely event you ever have a flood, roof leak etc, these bags will protect your firearms.

I really can't speak for the Zcorr VCPI corrosion vapor aspect, but I can tell you these bags are a better product that paper wrapped Cosmoline, which is a great product as well, but messy as hell.

A Zcorr bag, you can store improperly, simply doesn't matter, you open the vacuum sealed bag, pull the gun out, and it's ready to shoot. Try that with Cosmoline

I don't use these bags with all my firearms, but the ones I really like I sometimes store in these bags. When these were $50 I would agree with you they probably aren't worth it, but at $20, I suggest trying one. You won't hate it my friend.

Many people here are constantly having to hide their weapons from the day to day gun checks from the “grabbers." They have never come to my house but I hear it happens quote a bit.

Be glad you don't live in New York State ( Read up on the anti-safe act cause); nor in Conn, nor in Mass... New Jersey, California... You are a felon if you have ( still have ) many weapons both long arms and hand guns... So yeah, gun-grabbing by the Government has happened and is happening.

PS: Also with ammo, ammo components, and many different NFA items ( even if you have $200 in your pocket and are a nice law abiding citizen ).

So they are knocking on doors and doing checks or not?

BTW I thought NY was the only state that made RETROACTIVE (not grandfathered) guns part of the ban. I did a little google searching and seemed to have confirmed my memory. Also NY has numerous lawsuits challenging the "ex post facto" laws.

I'd just get a food saver and do it that way. I've done it before. Would recommend double-triple bagging for durability.

The day you find yourself needing to vacuum pack your AR15 is probably the day you need to start using your AR15.

I personally keep an AK-47 in my trunk and am looking for a good way to protect it from humidity and allow quick access if something (VERY) bad were to happen. ‘Why do you keep it in my car’ I hear you asking….being a cabinet full of rifles does me little good if I am not home and if something does happen while I am at home I still have plenty of options for unexpected ‘social events.’ My wife does not understand this reasoning but what do I care ;)

You must not have many rifles.

I remember my first rifle.
