Taurus Millennium G2 9mm Polymer Grip Sub Compact MFG #: 111G2

With its lightweight 22 oz. polymer frame, thin profile, and ramped 3.2 inch barrel, the newly designed Millennium G2 is the ideal concealed carry handgun. Available in two compact models—PT 111 and PT 140—the Millennium G2 features an accessory rail, high-profile sights, an aggressive, textured grip and melted edges for added comfort and easy concealment.

Taurus Security System (TSS)s
Taurus family of semi-auto pistols now feature the Taurus Security System, which provides instant-ready defense with built-in ability to secure your pistol and make it inoperable at the turn of a key. When the Security System is engaged, the pistol cannot be fired or cocked and the gun's manual safety cannot be disengaged. As with our revolver Security System, the device is part of the firearm and cannot be lost, and the same special Security Key works for both the revolver and pistol Systems (two keys come with each gun). To engage: simply insert the Key into the button on the rear or side of the pistol and rotate one-quarter turn clockwise. This engages the Security System. The manual safety cannot be moved and the trigger cannot be pulled. To disengage: simply rotate the key one-quarter turn back. This releases the Security System, yet leaves the pistol's manual safety in the "safe" position until you are ready to release it yourself and fire the gun.

Loaded Chamber Indicator
Taurus provides a loaded chamber indicator on all new compact, medium and large frame pistols. As with all Taurus safety and security innovations, the indicator in no way interferes with the operation of your pistol and is provided at no extra cost, but gives you an "at-a-glance" verification that there is a round in the chamber. When a round is in the chamber, the ejector pops out of the slide, exposing a red strip just behind the ejection port. While any loaded chamber indicator is no substitute for common sense and safe firearm handling, it is one more example of Taurus' commitment to outstanding firearms.

Accessory Rail
Features the Genuine Picatinny Rail allowing use of many accessories

$50 shipping . Wow. No thanks.

Does anyone really think this will drop while the rebate is in effect? I'll be surprised if we even see at back at $200 with no rebate anytime soon. Even at $250, I don't think there's anything comparable when you consider size, capacity and reliability. My personal opinion is that the $200 price was just to get the word out and earn back some good will considering all the problems with the earlier generation.

I liked mine so much I bought 2 others! Seriously you can't beat this gun for the price. I like mine more than my M&P shield now.

Bought this a few months ago and finally got it out to the range, it ran flawlessly, not a single problem. Sights needed no adjusting, not too much kick, and the trigger felt great. Don't think about it, get in on it, great deal for a compact 9mm auto which has a great warranty.

Seems like word is finally out this Taurus performs as well as a S&W Glock or Walther (albeit with a lllooonnnggg trigger pull) at a fraction of the cost. Got one for my daughter for $199 a few months back and she loves shooting it (try getting that with a Kel-Tec or LCP!) Tempted to get one for myself while they are still affordable.

The average street price for the PT111/140 G2 has been $229-$239 with a frequent sales price of $199 - long before this rebate existed.

For two months straight, it has been voted as the best selling subcompact by the firearms community in survey after survey, according to Guns & Ammo Magazine.

While rebates are commonly seen for accessories that sell with a gun, it is rare to see one used to lower the list price of a gun that needs no extra incentives. The rebate obviously benefits the dealer since the money back to the consumer comes from the manufacturer.

On the other hand, I tend to get a bit suspicious whenever rebates are used to raise sales over its closest competitors when there really aren't any. Bud's jacks up the prices of their guns to offsert the low shipping changes.

This reminds me of when PSA was running a perpetual sale on the Taurus 709 Slim for $199 or $209 (which basically has the same trigger).

The price range in which it competes is the mid $200's, but all of its other competitors have a heavy pulling DAO trigger - mainly for safety reasons.

My advice is to visit the Wikiarms.com gun search page and compare the prices currently advertised online by different vendors.

For example, DEGUNs has them at $224. With the $50 rebate, it brings the price down to $174 - which blows everything else out of the water. Until you see that they charge $30 for firearm shipments. Some companies ship anything over $99 for free. Prepper Guns soaks the consumer for $39.

So, you may want to check shipping first!!! Some of the dealers get you by the short hairs on their jacked-up shipping costs.

Says $253? You say $224?
Paid $199/shipped for mine & wanted one more.

I just ordered the 45 ACP version (for delivery tomorrow) from KGC for $233 (“blem”) out the door but it is not included in the rebate. Does anyone know why the 45's COMPACTS are so hard to find? They seem to be OOS everywhere and this was the only one I could find.

I have to say even at this higher price this gun is a hell of a deal. I can easily see the argument that its worth double what you are paying for it.

I got mine from Larry's and they shipped extremely fast. I finally took it to the range yesterday for an hour to give it a test run. I brought one box of Freedom Munitions 115g fmj new, one box of their blaster training ammo and one box of walmart perfecta. Put 150 rounds through it without an issue. gun handles like a Glock, also has super short trigger reset and a MUCH better/lighter/cleaner feeling trigger than my wife's pt709. I also put a few rounds of various defensive ammo through it. Never had a single hiccup. If I had bought this prior to owning a Glock I would not even bother (I have carried a G19 for the past 12 years).

I have a pt709 as well. The trigger on the pt111 is better...

This is cheaper than what I paid before the rebate & price hike.I think this is an awesome deal.My friends & I have atleast 6-10 of these between us and we have all been pleasantly surprised.Of course there are plenty of good reviews out there but I was still hesitant to buy my first Taurus.
This is no 199$ pistol, Taurus or not.I would get yours while you can, even if it means dealing w/ a rebate.Dont expect this to stay where it's at.There are rumors on the streets....but that's all im saying.

I'll bite when this goes back down to $200 or so before rebate. Larry's Pawn had it for $200 plus $25 shipping right after the rebate so here's hoping it drops again in the next few weeks.

I saw these for 189-199 the day before the rebate. I feel lucky I found one place selling for $199 plus shipping that has since sold out...

I think this has always been close to the going rate for this pistol from Sportsman's Guide (but I may be wrong). KGC has been offering them between $189 and $199 for what seems to be several months now, and happens to be where I bought both of mine for that price (got one for the misses too). I noticed they (KGC) jacked up their prices from $199 to $249 right around the time the rebate came out. I thought that was pretty shabby on their behalf since that $50 isn't coming out of their pockets.

An unpopular company, but my 2 PT111 G2s have run like a champ. I have many more expensive firearms. I
Picked up one of these on a lark, because "$200 handgun, who cares if I break it." I liked so much I picked up another.
I've got about 500rnds through each and they've been flawless.

I got one from Kentucky Gun Co. $198 + CC fee and S&H/FFL. <$250 all told. Comes with a 1-yr NRA renewal ($35) and uses my Sig P226 mags. It even fits in my Walther PPX holster. Been running 100% so far. Also, not on the Taurus recall list. What's not to like?

Where do I begin?? Stove pipes, failure to feed, double feeds...all with Freedom Munitions new 9mm ammo. FNS9 was flawless with same ammo. I sold it for a profit.

I own one that I bought from Palmetto 7 months ago.
Great gun, very reliable and very accurate at CCL engagement distances.
The gun itself is very easy to maintain, trigger is very nice and the "hand to grip feel is good for people with "big hands".
In my opinion, based on my testing of several 9mm's on the market for CCL, the 12+1 is nice as well. Don't let the price fool you. This is a viable weapon for personal protection and with practice and range experience can be very accurate.

Mine shoots 115gr and 124 grain equally accurately in my experience.

Don't know anything about Centerfire Systems, the vendor, but I really like this product. Great CCW option for the price. I bought mine about 6 months ago. What a fantastic compact concealed carry option. I had my doubts, but my range experience has been flawless so far and now my original CCW option of a Ruger SR9C sits on my nightstand, contrary to my original concealed carry intents. My SR9C is a great gun (ergo, it is my nightstand gun), but the Taurus PT111 G2 has a second strike capability in double action mode and the Taurus 111 has been flawless on all ammo and is way more compact and concealable than my SR9C. I bought the Taurus on a whim, but now it is my daily CCW. I shoot my Ruger a little more accurately at the range, but not enough to outweigh the Millenium's attributes on a daily carry basis.

This gun is in it's own league at this price. The ONLY thing this Taurus might have in common with a Hi-Point is cost. They got it right with this one, weight, feel, accuracy, etc... I only wished I'd bought the FDE version Academy had on Black Friday, I may just buy one of these and have it Cerakoted

I don't understand their method for billing during checkout when you select the FFL. Is that the FFL fee and then they pay the FFL for you? Or is that the shipping charge and you still owe the FFL upon receipt of the firearm?

I'm not familiar with this company but every gun I've purchased online and sent to an FFL, the gun seller doesn't pay the FFL you do when the transfer is made. I'm guessing what you are seeing is strictly shipping.

You might try checking the shipping charges from Palmetto State Armory (and yes be prepared to wait). They have it on clearance for 199 but the shipping might work out to a lower total cost.

Kentucky Gun Co still has them for $203 with free shipping. Only bad part, says 30-45 day backorder. Worth it I think.

I got one a few weeks ago for the same price from Ky Gun Co. It looks, feels and shoots a lot like my Springfield 9mm XDS 3.3, but for less than half the price. In my opinion, definitely worth the cost. Big fan of the manual safety too, on double action striker.

I did the opposite Tuesday; ordered a gun online then my wife comes around the corner asking me to buy her boots 5 minutes later not knowing (yet) of my recent acquisition….I know my gun purchase wouldn’t go over too well if I did not spend the 50 dollars on her “need.”

Worth every penny.
I've owned one for well over a year and have been completely happy with it. If you're looking for a great compact 9mm with a compact price...this is it. Lifetime warranty and if you like the Serpa holster, buy the H&K USP Compact (size 9) for a great fit. I want the S&W 40 model next.

Good gun. Very accurate, reliable (for me) and concealable. I like the 12+1 capacity, which is great for such a concealable firearm. I don't like the long trigger take up, but break is consistent & crisp.
