Probably OK for a range toy at this price, if you like a pseudo E*tech look. I have a similar model (SM14000) that shuts off from recoil after every shot on a centerfire rifle...so I only use it for rimfire.
You must have received a defective one, I have this same one on my 300blk AR pistol, and after about 600 rnd, it still holding zero.
Not saying these are the end all be all of red dots, but for the prices I think they're good enough. I like mine so much I'm getting a 2nd one for my AR rifle.
Agreed. I had a previous model "Ultra Shot Z", I think. My AR rifle caused it to shut off after each shot after less than about 150 rounds. Fortunately Sightmark warranties their stuff. Since they no longer made the model I had, they replaced it with this one. So far, I have about 500 rounds with this one and no problems. If that changes I'll just contact them again.
