10lb trigger pull....

In DA, SA is a very crisp 4lbs

First shot will always be 10lbs in self defense/carry. We all know how important first shot is right?

I'll rack one in the chamber first, so no, not for me (takes less than 1 second). The trigger is just fine for the price....and for how I carry, the dependability is superb.

There's literally thousands of DA/SA Sigs carried by police and military with one in the chamber... but in proper holsters. If you want to "pocket" carry it's one thing but there's absolutely no reason not to carry a DA/SA Sig like this when it's home is a proper holster. All these 2022 deals in the $400 range with 3-5 mags (including the promo) are really quite amazing deals. Better deal for an average guy imho than a glock.

A typical civilian gun fight last for 2 seconds. From the first shot to the last shot. Two seconds to determine if you're alive or dead.

If you're going to carry a gun carry it loaded otherwise it an expensive club.

Im posting again to ask some questions about this "2 seconds" you claim as "typical". We're both gun owners and supporters, so I feel you on the point you're making. Are you trained and comfortable in hand to hand combat? Do you also carry other self defense items such as a knife and mace and are comfortable in using them? The reason I ask is not every situation requires pulling your firearm. Theres a lawyer attached to that gun if you decide to pull it and fire it. Now Im not a mafia member or in a gang, Im a nobody who doesnt normally put myself in positions where Im expecting a 2 second gun fight. I try to avoid high risk environments. Doesnt mean I may not face a situation, but I do trust in my ability to feel when somethings about to go down. Now if Im a police officer, or military, or in a high risk environment, I'll carry with one in the pipe at all times, no doubt about that and it will be with a different gun than this one here.

No way. If you're carrying, you should be carrying with one in the pipe.

Why are you asking questions about knives, hand to hand combat and what not when he said it was a gun fight? If you took the time to read what he said and think about it, I think you would really get what he was saying since you are a gun owner and supporter. If I have a round in the chamber, it'd take me roughly 2 seconds to pull my gun, aim, and shoot. Where you'd take slightly longer to pull your gun, take the extra step of racking your slide, aim and shoot. Any more questions?

I apologize for the slow response, working very long hours lately.... Anyways I get your point and understand "your" preference of carry. He said "typical". Now can we debate what is typical? Thats the MAIN question. I dont think we can as every situation consists of many different variables that will factor into leading up to a "2 second typical" gun fight (or however many seconds are involved). While my first priorty is to survive, I also must be a responsible shooter and take into account the background if I miss with a round or two, how many people/homes/vehicles are around...those kind of variables too. I mentioned the hand to hand combat because what if Im attacked from behind and they go for my gun, pulling the trigger and shooting me in the process of removing it from my holster or pocket (wont occur if they have to rack it first). Like I said, just my way of thinking.... if he has his hand on my gun and I can grab onto that wrist with one hand, then I have a free hand to grab my knife from the other side to do whats next. My point is nothing is predictable or typical about these situations. If they come up on you quick asking for your wallet, with a gun pointed at you, throw your money in one direction and run the other way. All you can do is try to distract the perp to buy a few seconds....then you do whatever your quick thinking trained mind wants to do next.

I carry loaded. Just choose to not carry with one in the pipe. Personal preference. Each situation is different and hopefully my situational awareness will allow me enough time to rack. Now if this gun had a safety, maybe I'd carry with one in the pipe. Its a safety thing for me...and its nice to know that if Im jumped from behind and someone takes my weapon, they cant just pull the trigger. Just me and my way of thinking...I also have a revolver I sometimes carry. To each his own.
