I surprisingly only waited four days for them to ship a lower a week ago. The rest of the kit on the other hand is still processing ...

I have the opposite. My regular part orders take like over a week to ship, while the my lower orders ship in a few days.

It is a nice lower, and a good price, however it still may be better to buy locally. I just bought the same lower for $48.88 at my local shop in AZ. After $29.99 + $9 shipping and a Transfer fee, I got it today for what I would have had to wait weeks for.

In 2019, is this a 'best' deal? As in 29.99$ + 9$ Shipping? Or if I wait, can I get it for under 30 or 35 bucks shipped? I'm in no hurry, so knowing if I should wait or not would be great.

I don't think you're going to find an AR lower for much less. This is pretty dang cheap--even if they are "gouging" you by charging around $1.50 more than a standard USPS flat rate shipping box costs. I don't know the low price for Anderson lowers (usually retail around $39.99). Even if those had free shipping, they'd still be more expensive than the PSA deal. I just saw they are out of stock. Not surprising at this price.

Bought an upper from PSA. Scratches on barrel and handguard. It's like there's no quality control.
Uploaded pix to the website to share with others. They deleted them.

Last time I ordered from these chumps it took over 15 days to get a 450 bushmaster 9 round clip. I even had to call when it wasn't shipped after a week. They state 3 to 5 business days before they ship...I am staying away. Most other vendors ship in 1 to 2 days max and ship 2 day air for the basic shipping cost.

Same here. It took a good two weeks to get the last upper I ordered from them. Outstanding upper but time to ship from PSA could use much improvement. Once it shipped it only took 2 days to arrive.

You might save a dollar or two with PSA but expect a month to ship. By the time you pay a transfer fee, may as well buy locally.

$52.42 exact amount after taxes & shipping.

I will be ordering less from PSA now that they are charging Michigan sales tax and shipping on more products.

Got mine a couple of weeks ago with free shipping. Had to pay tax in GA, though. As always, shipping was only a couple of days. Finish was perfect. Still trying to figure out how they're making money.

$50 plus a $30 transfer fee at the local FFL is still not bad. I don't even see lowers for sale near me. Could be a good deal depending on where you live. PSA could probably break even on shipping at $5 though.

The fees they charge kill the deal for me. $40-60 bucks a piece. Plus shipping.

I swear... if they would just do free shipping on this, I’d buy 5 of them. Mark my word!

PSA got beat to the punch and I bought from Primary Arms when they discounted some even better than this. I picked up 3 stripped lowers for $30 each before tax. $97 and some change for 3 stripped lowers.

Just got home from getting 5 of these from the Greenville SC store. $40 each is hard to pass up. . Figured it would be nice to have sequential serial numbers for our family. People have always been extremely nice and helpful in this store. Christmas shopping early!

A PISTOL LOWER does have more advantages!

Turn it into a pistol first and you can always put a longer barrel / upper on.

Add a pistol stabilizing brace, especially since its legal to shoulder! :)

Get a compact powerful weapon, that can be turned into a rifle and back again.

Remember once a rifle always a rifle

Pistol lowers give more options!

Just REMEMBER to never have a short barrel on with a regular stock, because then it would be a SBR and you would have to pay the tax and go through all the paperwork!

You realize these are stripped lowers, and can be turned into a rifle, pistol, or carbine, at any time, right?

Can you register these as pistol lowers when u do the 4473?

0 votes
0 votes

there is no need to. they are listed as other and a 4473 is not the firearm being registered. They are listed as other so they can be built either way however since they can be made into a pistol you have to meet the requirements, as beimg 21 years of age.
when the 4473 is completed they are kept by the gun shop you purchase from, not the government.
