Toolcraft has confirmed on their FB page that they are in fact the manufacturer of PSA’s BCGs by posting a link to PSA’s BCG sale.

$59.99 is the lowest price I have ever seen on these. These are excellent BCGs at a price that can't be beat.

At $80 get a Toolcraft and have it in days instead of weeks.

yup, they're the same price as a genuine toolcraft (though supposedly toolcraft makes the premium PSA bolts), but you don't have to wait :D....plus, toolcraft BRANDED bcg's come with a lifetime warranty

PSA products now include a lifetime warranty too.

Why do they bother making 'full auto' BCG if you can't really use it in full auto without the sear? All I see is a couple extra ounces to lug around unnecessarily due to the barrier needing more metal. Is it a marketing ploy? I guess it just sounds 'cooler' if its a FULL AUTO bcg. I'd just prefer the weight reduction, but then what do I put in the keywords for a search?

Full auto/m16 carriers are the original spec and the buffet and spring were designed with that speed in mind. A lighter carrier (the butchered semi auto) may require adjustments in those other two parts of the puzzle to perform correctly and reliable.

That and like mentioned above with the shrouded firing pin.

Buffer* spec* ugh autotype on the phone...

Full auto BCGs have more of the firing pin covered to prevent premature bending of the pin via the hammer. Semi auto bolts have less metal around the pin and are more prone to bending the pin. Full auto can handle the pin being constant struck by the hammer without bending. Semi auto cant. But most BCGs are full auto rated. They are also heavier than their semi auto counterparts due to less metal around the firing pin

I will wait for the regular price of 69.99$ with free shipping

No more panic buying or I will regret later.

PSA has their nitride bcg on sale for $70 right now, better deal than this. Just an FYI

$80 OTD is realistically all I would pay for this. Quit trying to push a panic PSA! Your "deals" and emails are becoming nothing more than spam. Still some good vendors out there, even in this climate. Don't become another CTD.
I own 4 PSA rifles and have spent more than my fair share on an annual basis. Just wrapped up an $800 accessory and ammo buy and none of it though PSA.

To become CTD they'd have to start selling their $300 cases of 5.56 for a grand (or 2 grand as CTD got to at one point), selling PMags for $50 each, etc. :)

Same here. Starting to yawn now when I see these ads. Gun manufacturers pretend to dislike the liberals when they are in power but in reality "the perceived panics" bring them more cash. Now we have somewhat of a gun friendly federal government and the gun manufacturers can't seem to let go of yesterdays price point. Meaning 2008 AR parts pricing.

i have 3 of these and they run flawlessly. i swear they were 10 bucks cheaper not that long ago...

All of their “deals” were 10 cheaper and many had free shipping as well. They yanked it after the Florida protests got going.

They were $10 less without free shipping a few weeks back. Shipping for me is less than $10 and if you're buying more than one the cost at $69.99 + shipping was noticeably less.

They have been $69.99 + free shipping in recent history. Not often, but it has happened a few times.

Was $69.99 + free ship about 3 weeks ago. I'll have to find the email to be exact. PSA is really pushing the panic button on pricing and essentially cutting no more deals, at least for the time being. I've been ignoring their deal emails since Florida.
That said, the premium 158 bolts are spec and GTG for at least the 3 I own.

the minute parkland happened the retailers got "Sandy Hook" $ signs in their eyes even though the panic buying isn't happening. They're trying to push for a panic, but this is all they can do right now ..

I noticed today that their kits also went up in price. Still good deals though

does psa offer a black nitride bcg in the PREMIUM line?

also looking at aero precision black nitride bcg (found one for $84).

all of my fa bcg's are phosphate, never run black nitride bcg. what are the pros and cons. any help is appreciated.

no. just get a toolcraft branded bcg from monmouth or right to bear arms. rock solid nitride bcg's that are the same price as PSA's premium ones

Although I've not yet even contemplated building an AR I do know one is in the future. Since I always like to build from ground up you guy's are making me think I should get one and sock it away. If nothing else it sounds like I could get my money back if I were to decide to sell it.

Wait and buy one that's nitrided for about $10-$15 more. Phosphate is old school and effective. Nitride is new school, more effective (slicker & tougher), easier to clean, and is chemically bonded with the metal. A lot of folks rave over Nickel coatings (NI-BI/BO/TI/ETC) but its just a coating which will eventually come off, still requires lube, and is only marginally easier to clean than a Quality nitrided bcg. I'll take a slick BCG with a chemically bonded finish over a BCG with a pretty coating any day of the year.

Unreal deal. These Premium BCGs are worth $100+ easy if they're the same quality as what they've been in past years. Very tempted to get another spare or two at this price...

I bought two of these a few weeks ago and they are simply top notch. They are also shipped in a package....and inside the package are the BCGs secured inside cardboard tubes. In short, a great value, and well protected during shipping

This is an absolute Bargain!!!

PSA offers the same quality as bigger names, and extremely high value! I just ordered THREE of these to squirrel away for the next Clinton era...

I got 3 of these with the aimpoint h-1 deal they had a few weeks ago. They are a great deal for 70. Ordered on a friday and was delivered on wed. Took it apart no different than any colt or bushmaster bcg i have owened. They do come packaged in i a nice tube. They come dry so if you dont plan to use them for a while i would atleast take them apart and oil them so they wont rust in storage

After a debacle with a disreputable discount merchant who's name rhymes with arkarrelbings, I cut my losses and ordered two BCGs from PSA. 74.00 shipped? Yes please. I bet these BCGs aren't rusted out pieces of crap unlike that other company's products.

Great high quality bcg's for the price. Have used these for several builds for myself and family members and have never been dissapointed. If you dont wanna spend the extra for nickel boron this is what you want

Great price on this BCG. I have one to keep as a spare. I put about 50 rounds through on it to just make sure it functions. It did, no issues. I view this as cheap insurance.

Bought one last week with an upper. Shipping cost was $8.50. Or for $20 more you can get the nickel boron bcg. Not sure if I should have paid the extra $20 or not?

Hey guys I'm new to this AR BUILDING THING. But is this bolt carrier legal? Or do you have to contain certain credentials to purchase it ?

0 votes

yes, full auto BCGs are legal, they don't enable your rifle to fire full auto

It's amazing that PSA has been running these at this price for a while now. Don't wait, it may not last. Rock-solid BCGs--I have two. The second one I bought did have a defect, but I followed their return procedure and PSA replaced it promptly.

Great BCG. If you don't crave a nickel boron or Nickel Teflon bcg, you won't go wrong with this. I purchased one last January at the same price for my first AR build. It has been rock solid.
