That is what they told me on the phone. I don't mind waiting. But the backordering time was in late January. So many people already missed out on the waiting list.

does anyone even consider the fact that cabelas isn't price gouging? Maybe the supplier is raising prices to them too...because they can

My Walmart went from 23.99 to 26.49 a few weeks ago. Leads gone up, powders gone up it makes sense that ammo will go up.

All ammo at walmart has gone up. 9mm is now $15.77 at my local one and 40 is $20.77. It stands to reason if they are raising all the prices, ammo is going up everywhere, no matter who is selling it

Not the case at my nearest Walmart. Federal 9mm FMJ (black/red box) down to $14.96 per box from $17.96 just a few months ago. Seems supplies are back up too. My observations online are much the same. Ammo is either stagnant or going down but just doing so at a slow pace.

Bought this for $31 the other day then yesterday the Remington for $28 and today $37... but anyways the only .22 around me is $50 so what can you do...

Wait unless it is really required in a life and death situation.

Just bought four boxes, thanks man!
This is good stuff too. Much better than the Remington $hit.

Thats why prices are going up and the shortage continues.

People are always complaining about .22 not being available but Cabela's has bricks like this all the time. In the past two days I've ordered 1333 rounds of 22 from them, thanks to gun.deals! Price on this isn't the best, but a lot better than my local gun shop selling this for $65 a brick! It's either this or wait in line at Walmart at 6am to maybe get one box of 333 rounds. I have a Cabela's local so this deal is really good, but even with shipping it's not terrible. Face it guys .22 is up in price just like every other round. 9mm is up about 6 cents a round from last year, .223 is up,etc. I won't pay over 8 cents a round though so I agree with the guy that said to set a threshold, but I think his is too low for this day and age.

.06 limit for me has gotten me over 10k rounds in last few months, I'd say his limit is about perfect.

Here's my grip, this same ammo was $24.99 on 02/07/2014, so in 18 day the price went up $3...whatever...

put it in perspective. if you are buying online there are not many better deals out there

I voted this not a deal and I mean it. However I have been buying from Cabela's because there is no shipping charge locally, and 6 cents is my absolute limit/round. Same with Gander Mtn. Prices from out of state with shipping are frightening according to my search engines. Same ammo triple in price from some clowns. For a reality check I walked into Mill's Fleet Farm 2 days ago and picked up this SAME AMMO for 19.99 +tax. It's scarce there, just lucked out. What the Hell! Prices are all over the spectrum for the same item. Just pick your price point/round and, godammit, stick to it.

If my options are between "Spend an extra $8" and "go completely without", Im going to spend $8. Is it a deal? No. Is it at least reasonable? Sure is in todays market. I get why people want others to stop buying as soon as stuff becomes available, and I get why that practice keeps the price up. But if I can get 1500 rounds, and have only spent $24 more than I normally would, I would say that makes me pretty happy.

"It's scarce there, just lucked out."
You just pointed out why this isn't such a horrible deal. It's a somewhat realistic price (Cabela's is never a low cost price leader) ... AND IT'S AVAILABLE. We don't even have Fleet Farm around here and Walmart was 2.50 per 50 (not that I ever saw any there.)

Ok so the reason why the shipping is $3 more is because the cost of the item pushed it into a different shipping cost bracket. From $0-$25 is $5.95 to ship and once you go over $25 its $8.95 shipping.6

Why do people keep posting the "in the cart" link? The link for this deal shows it being in the cart, but the product is currently out of stock.

Yeah, product and shipping price went up, but still reasonable. Midway wanted to charge $16 for shipping 1 brick last week.

More price gouging from Cabela's -- they will continue because people enable them...

There is no such thing in the world we live in anymore as customer loyalty. Its all about the mighty dollar. If they can sell it for 3.00 a brick more or 6.00 a brick more next week that's what is going to happen.

Would you buy it for $6 more ? If so I will sell you what I bought for $24.99 for $30.99. I think you will be happy to know you were taken advantage of. Your attitude says you would buy it.

Uh if they can sell it for $6 more then they should charge $6 more. That's a free market and capitalism. No one owes you a thing.

Also they wont admit it but they would do the same thing except probably more and sooner if they were in the same situation and owned a buisness, if it keeps flying off the shelves prices continue to go up until it sits, then it will go back down. Dont get me wrong people it sucks and im not happy about it but its life, not some magical fairytale land where buisness arent in buisness to make money...

Its true we shouldnt be mad at cabelas, if they wanted to they could have gone the ctd route, we should be mad at the retard preppers/ ignorant new gun owners who dont understand economics and keep buying inflated, a huge majority of new gun owners from the recent scare bought .22s and to them 12 cpr for example may seem cheap when compared to other rounds because they dont know what it should be at/was at. We should also be mad at the POS people who buy and resell taking advantage of those who dont have the time to sit by a cpu all day, and the ironic thing is that jigs and pigs has bragged about doing it, and now hes feeling effects of it and complaining when he helped fuel the fire...

Shipping is $5.00 when using Carbelas credit card. Still a good deal for $27.99 plus $5.00 for shipping.

Yes, it's up $3. But since I shipped last weeks order to the store and have to go anyway, I added this as well. Not happy about the price increase but at least I'm not paying the shipping increase as well.
Since it's one of my preferred ammo types, I'm getting it, otherwise I would not bother with these games.

Whats up Cabelas? Last week was $24.99. Are you taking ideas on quick profiting from Midwayusa, and luckygunner? So far you had a stellar reputation on supporting your customers. if you change it, it will hurt you badly on customer loyalty.
