Description

LaRue Tactical MBT-2S Trigger

1 @ $89 ea.
3+ @ $79 ea.

In a world of instantly M.I.M.'d rifle and pistol components, we threw on the brakes, slowed to a walk, and built 2-stage triggers out of solid S7 tool steel plates. Meticulous triggers built by our staff toolmakers ... without a stopwatch in sight.

No question, we’re particular about accuracy. Everyone knows that one of the smartest improvements an AR-owner can do to their rifle is a precision trigger upgrade. Everyone also knows that LaRue Tactical has a track-record of doing things right. The LaRue MBT-2S was purposefully designed and manufactured to render the greatest benefits from our legendary line of accurate rifles. The MBT-2S can also replace the stock trigger on any mil-spec AR lower receiver.

Sparing no expense, all major components are precision-machined from S7 Tool Steel. The result of this extra effort is a glass-smooth, hyper-consistent trigger that will satisfy even the most scrupulous competition shooter, but also be overly rugged for the battlefield. The MBT-2S breaks crisply at 4.5 lbs (2.5 lb first stage, 2 lb second stage) and has a smooth and positive reset. Each trigger comes with an additional "heavy" trigger spring that increases the pull weight to 6 lbs.

Made in-house, in Texas, in the USA.

Ordered on June 22, delivered 15 days later. Installed in an Aero Precision M5E1 in .308. Incredibly smooth takeup to a solid second stage wall. Crisp break with no perceptible creep, pull weight feels right on the money. Loud solid reset. Perfect trigger for precision shooting. Not even mad that I ordered while the price was still $99.

Do they charge your card right away, or when it ships if you choose the I can wait option?

This is an amazing trigger for $99. They cut back on the swag which kinda sucks though. I was hoping for more dillo dust!

Ordered on March 5th and came in on April 21st. When I ordered I called and asked the wait time. Was told 6-8 weeks backorder for the no rush option. Ended up being 7. Haven't installed yet, but plan on doing so tonight with testing next week.

Just pulled the trigger. Ordered some grendel mags from larue and they are top notch. I can't imagine they make a bad trigger. Fantastic company to deal with and they will get more of my business in the future.

LaRue products are first class. Bought this last time it was on sale for the same price and was so impressed I ordered another. Short take up, no grittiness, invincible 2nd stage, clean break, short and audible reset! T

I was also so impressed that I bought a second. Mine came with the mockup trigger chassis for $99 + shipping & tax in Texas. I am tempted to go for a third!

There is no better $100 enhancement you can make to a basic AR to improve its accuracy, and your enjoyment. These are "World Class" triggers. They are very comparable to the Geissele SSA, and SSA Enhanced, and much more affordable.

Bought two about a month ago for this price. Excellent triggers, love 'em. I chose the cheaper "I can wait" option and it arrived in about 8-9 days. You'll be very happy with these. Thinking about buying them for the rest of my lowers, but haven't got that much cash to drop when ammo is so cheap. Great company!

I have one of these on one of my rifles. While this trigger is pretty nice, I much prefer my 3# Velocity single-stage to it.

Plus, Larue is kinda a dick.

Does anyone know how this compares to the Rock River two stage 4.5 lb target trigger? The Rock River trigger is commonly available for around $11 less, if this one is superior it's probably worth the additional $11.

I have a number of both. The LaRue is being discounted from its normal price and is very comparable to Geisselle's SSA or SSA-E (really falling somewhere between them), IMNSHO.

Don't get me wrong, I've got a few RRANM2S installed in a few lowers and they are fine. Pull weight between the 5 I have is not terribly consistent from unit to unit (in a trigger jig measuring from a low of 3.3lbs to a high of 5.5lbs {average of 5 pulls per unit} when measured new). The MBTs I have all fall within a few oz of each other in the same jig.

Materials-wise the MBT is superior and should have a longer service use.

You are ultimately getting a much more pricey trigger at a discounted price with the MBT, however, for $79 the RRANM2S is perfectly fine.

I just git mine at $99 and it came in a week. They also sent a nice plastic test demo lower and a jar of "dillo dust" rub. Feels good, will install and test in a few weeks.

Shipping was 7 bucks, Texas tax another 8. Totaled out at 115. If it performs at least as well as my RRA two stage Ill be very happy. Page is funky, might be overwhelmed with people on it.

As good as geisselle ssa-e, possibly better depending on your preference/sensitivities.

I have bought and installed 9 of these in the past 12 months for friends/ coworkers. As an instructor I have literally tried and evaluated every 2 stage trigger I am aware of under about a $250 price point. This larue trigger is without a doubt the best 2 stage trigger in its price bracket. For feel and weight id place it next to the ssa-e which I also personally own and have installed on a personal rifle. We could argue and debate which is better but that would be pointless. The larue comes in at a better price, plus some goodies, and is at least equal in quality and feel.

Mall ninja???? You are an idiot. Great price for great trigger. The rest is swag. And swag that I find pretty useful. I am veteran, dealer(firearm lol), and instructor. I would be willing to bet you talk down to folks with less expensive guns/optics too.

Try to take a different look at "mall ninjas". They drive the industry you love to produce more of and better products you use. With that attitude, we would all still be driving model T's and dressing like little house in the prairie. Hope you didn't options for the upgraded wheels on your truck or have some sort of "going out" clothes...you mall ninja you!

More importantly, we live in a country where you can buy things you don't need for something you don't have to use. Opposed to some countries where they use the guns to protect their already restricted way of life.

Embrace the mall ninjas!!

Mall ninjas? I'm a Marine Corps veteran and a career cop who also has firearms instructor experience. I see great potential in a device like this one. You don't need to worry about shortening the life of the hammer by dry firing, no need to hunt around for a snap cap, plus you can easily test a dozen triggers in the comfort of your den/office/garage/shop/man cave or wherever, then install the one that meets your own needs.

Don't get me wrong, the AR15 industry, being it's own subset and subculture within the industry as a whole, is FLOODED with the stereotypical mall ninja types who do indeed drive people (me) nuts with their lack of knowledge and need for instant expert status without studying, practicing or earning it. The whole thing, black rifle disease etc. should have been a "thing" thirty years ago because that's when the A2 was in wide use. That means someone carefully planned and implemented the entire multibillion dollar industry around one gun...

I love my stock APF Econo Carbine trigger. Not sure why I would pay $100 for another trigger.

I bought this deal a few months ago and I really like it! I am also considering getting another. This is a great price for a quality trigger and a free mock up chassis - (TAC). I can only compare it to the RR 2-stage trigger and I like this much more. Mine came with the trigger already installed in the TAC thing.
It does not come with the safety selector or the grip but you can purchase separately. NOTE - I was disappointed that a Magpul grip will not work -"will not seat properly" on the TAC chassis!

The grip option to add to this is the APEG grip. Sweet deal!

Tried a friends a month or so ago and was amazed by it. Wasn't really planning on spending more money on my AR, but I couldn't help myself, so I'm in for one.
