Description

LaRue Tactical MBT-2S Trigger

1 @ $89 ea.
3+ @ $79 ea.

In a world of instantly M.I.M.'d rifle and pistol components, we threw on the brakes, slowed to a walk, and built 2-stage triggers out of solid S7 tool steel plates. Meticulous triggers built by our staff toolmakers ... without a stopwatch in sight.

No question, we’re particular about accuracy. Everyone knows that one of the smartest improvements an AR-owner can do to their rifle is a precision trigger upgrade. Everyone also knows that LaRue Tactical has a track-record of doing things right. The LaRue MBT-2S was purposefully designed and manufactured to render the greatest benefits from our legendary line of accurate rifles. The MBT-2S can also replace the stock trigger on any mil-spec AR lower receiver.

Sparing no expense, all major components are precision-machined from S7 Tool Steel. The result of this extra effort is a glass-smooth, hyper-consistent trigger that will satisfy even the most scrupulous competition shooter, but also be overly rugged for the battlefield. The MBT-2S breaks crisply at 4.5 lbs (2.5 lb first stage, 2 lb second stage) and has a smooth and positive reset. Each trigger comes with an additional "heavy" trigger spring that increases the pull weight to 6 lbs.

Made in-house, in Texas, in the USA.

My order for 1ea of MBT-1s and MBT-2s has been backordered for nearly 3 weeks now as of 23Jun19.

Awesome Trigger!!! But it took me 5 weeks in March 2019 to receive mine. And Dan Perez of Larue customer service hated when I asked for an update in week 4.

Mine shipped the day after I ordered them. I ordered them this week. Larue confirms below there is no wait now like there used to be.

We added more production so there is no wait on either now.

I ordered the SB (straight bow) one and it came in less than a week. I just ordered another 2.

Love this trigger and for the price it’s a win! Smooth action and tactile break with almost no travel to reset make this a must have.

Hands down best value in the AR trigger game. There are some of the super expensive high end triggers that I haven't shot yet, but so far, out of all the triggers I have shot, the MBT blows them away. The MBT is even better than my Geissele SSA. I haven't installed my SSA-E yet, so no telling if the MBT is better than that one yet. Realistically, there is absolutely no reason to buy any other trigger than a Larue MBT-2S.

Seems like $87 is the new normal price for the MBT. Got one on the 'before Christmas' sale, but havent shot it yet. Feels great dry. If they stay $87 all the time, I'll very likely get another before the coming Christmas as I have another lower in need of trigger love.

Ordered mine on 2/22 shipped on 3/1. Was told 2-3 week wait time. I didn’t care, it’s a great trigger at a great price regardless of the shipping cost.

I'm waiting for free shipping if you buy 2 or more. Prices have come down on a bunch of triggers so if it doesn't happen, I'll be getting different triggers.

That’s an excellent idea....that will shorten the wait for people who know it’s a great deal already.

Just move to Austin, its free shipping here already.

You get free pickup if you’re local but the Governor gets his 8.25% sales tax.

Tax yes but no pick up it actually says local Austin shipping free. Probably works out about the same though. Soon enough everything will have tax added to it, so buy now.

I've waited for four of these triggers. I'll soon be waiting for number 5. They are definitely worth the wait - and the price is super.

I have 4 of these and absolutely love them to death. I also have 3 Guessele G2S's and a G2S-E triggers as well (basically the SSA and SSA-E) and have to say they're each great in their own ways. The MBT is just GORGEOUS out of the box and the G2S is just slightly heavier feeling. I prefer the G2S for duty weapons (not as light of a trigger) but the MBT with the 6 lb trigger spring feels nearly identical. HOWEVER, the G2S-E (basically SSA-E) is the superior trigger over all 3, but just BARELY eclipses the MBT (the G2S-E has a heavier takeup but the second stage is STUPID light). Long story short, all three are great, but for $95 shipped the MTB is an insane deal

I paid a bit more for mine and have never regretted it. Not only a crisp break but the best reset in the business.

False advertising. It must still be Christmas lol

Mine shipped a couple days ago. UPS seems to have lost the shipment today (says delivered 1pm, I was home and nothing was at the door). Anyway, I patiently waited a 5 week lead time for the trigger to ship. I don't know if I can wait another 5 weeks. :(

As luck would have it, the trigger showed up!

Really nice craftsmanship. Great break and reset. Million times better than my old Mill spec

I've never heard more pissing and moaning than I've heard over the "wait time" for this trigger. Here is a simple solution. Just order an extra one for your War-Chest.

These triggers are worth the wait especially for the cost. Took me two weeks to get my order in. Would do it again in a heart beat but I purchased more than one just to have on hand.

Good luck on receiving your order before spring arrives. I ordered one late last February and it did not ship until the first week in May, that’s no bullshit. Hell Of a trigger though, if you ever get to use it.

Mark's mostly caught up. Right now it's about 20-21 turnover from order date to shipping date.

Bought it. Too many good reviews not to.

I agree. A 4.9 average out of 5.0 from more than 650 owner reviews does send a positive message. I am very impressed that many of the reviews were not written by rookies, but by experienced, knowledgeable AR shooters.

They filter the negative reviews, but still a decent trigger for the price.

I have this and the SSA-E. I like this one more. I put SSA springs on my SSA-E because it got too light. The wide face on this trigger takes a minute to get used to, but it feels really good once you get a feel for it.

This is one of my two favorite triggers. The other is the SSA-E which is about twice this price if you can catch a good sale. Both are outstanding, premium quality, "World Class", triggers, but you can own this one for under a $95 delivered. Go to LaRue Tactical, read the reviews, and learn what many veteran AR shooters think of this trigger.

Ordered 2 days ago and found out why it's called "The until Christmas sale." Backordered for 2-3 weeks to manufacture them. So there ya go they'll be ready to ship by Christmas.

Not sure if I got a bad one but the reset on this trigger is awful. It's gritty and unpredictable. Also, the packaging is crap. "Meticulously built trigger", carelessly packaged. Won't buy another.

I have three of these, one of which was purchased early this year, and the other two purchased a month or so ago as part of this sale.

Of the 3, two were flawless out of the box, absolutely the best triggers i've ever tried on an AR. The third had an issue resetting. It would sometimes hang up and not reset at all, every other round or so. An (extremely) light tap with my finger and it would reset. Hoping it was a minor fitment issue, I lightly greased the contact surfaces in the trigger (not something I normally do), and it's been beautiful ever since. 100% flawless function and feels every bit as good as the other two I have.

I don't know if your issue is the same as mine, but try a few drops of grease or lube throughout the trigger and see if that gives you a smoother break in.
