Fired about fifty rnds w one of my buddy's like this gotta have one smooth as almost any that I've shot
Great gun, have had mine for a couple of years with 1000+ rds through it and not one jam or stovepipe. Yes there are other guns you can get in this price range such as a Walter Creed but this is a solid firearm that will not fail you.
Price with all the add on crap is $293.00. Add your FFL transfer fees and let the games begin.
This is a very good inexpensive 9mm full size handgun. It is not as good as my 75 Shadow, but that gun costs 4 times this one. Now for the details. The Fobus BRS holster for the PX4 storm fits this perfectly. It is probably the only Fobus holster that has fit any my guns. The Witness 22 conversion kit SMALL FRAME fits this and works well. I have 500 rounds of federal bulk threw it, and the only issues are after 50-100 rounds the slide may need a push on the first round of a new magazine to get it into battery and the stock slide stop spring is too strong for the 22 magazine follower so the slide will not lock back (you can tweak it). When they are available you can get the 22 kit for $120-150. CZ75 magazines work fine in this pistol. I recommend going with the Mecgars as they are much cheaper (and the same) as the CZ factory magazine. Witness factory mags are in between but harder to find. Personally I have a second Witness mag, but never had any issues with my CZ mags when I shoot IDPA. CZ Cadet magazines will not work with the Witness 22 Kit. I like using this as a training gun. It is nice to use the same gun for starting them out on 22 and then move to 9mm.
The Shadow is a high end competition pistol.
Can not beat this pistol for the bang4buck factor. I bought one last year & been using 19rd MecGar CZ mags. Haven't had a burp with HP or ball of various flavors. Also have the compact version and it will do 16rds with CZ extension. Certainly not HK or SIG, but darn solid and reliable for under $300.00.
+1 To Everything you Said
Great summary, I have a Witness P in Black Polymer with both the 9mm and 22 Slides. Everything you said is 100% Accurate and wanted to add, my 22 Slide functions fine with SV ammo for a much quieter experience. I have another CZ clone, an all steel Canik Stingray that's an excellent gun too. Both the Italian and Turkish cousins of the CZ are thumbs up in my book.
one of the best 9mm under $300 . the witness & ppx are 2 weapons i recommend if $ is the issue . i got both for plinking . the $265 witness is just as accurate as my s&w revolvers or $1000 semi 's . this would make a great weapon for a beginner it's cheap $, poly, accurate, hammer, ok trigger and external safety . i am gonna buy the witness alloy model soon . if the italians can make a poly weapon this accurate can wait to fire the original tanfoglio . btw the ppx is other great budget weapon with one of the best triggers on a poly weapon . not a good weapon for beginners for it has no external safety at all .
Did you find a suitable holster for the witness?
Fobus pancake holster for the beretta px4 storm will work. I had this pistol for two years and easily sent 6k rounds down range and only problem was a 20$ broken during pin
Only
I would imagine any holster that would fit a CZ P09 or a CZ SP-01 would work.
sorry cant help you . i carry usp 45c .got the witness for backyard plinking .
How’s the trigger on it? Any trigger slap like the SAR 9mm?
