I may believe in the second amendment but that doesn't mean we are on the same team. I see you didn't answer the question about if you actually owned a CPX2, instead you make a bunch of assumptions about who I am, my experience with guns and my shooting habits to back up your pure BS. Who are you to tell me what to recommend or not, especially when I have direct experience with the firearm in question. Considering I have owned two CPX2s, with a combined round count over 500 rounds, and have never had a jam or misfire, we can let the other members decide whose posts are more valuable. Unless you are a gun dealer, most people don't buy guns for investment, they buy them for protection. No weapon is proven by brand name, only by first hand experience as even Glocks break or require service. Been plenty of issues with HK's too. Your entitled to your opinion, but your opinion sure doesn't trump my direct experience with the weapon in question, that's what isn't responsible or of value to the other forum members looking for real feedback instead of baseless slander. And by your comment, I was 100% correct, you think anything that doesn't cost a lot is a POS. My Tangfoglio Witness P and my Canik Stingray are patterned after the most reliable gun made, the CZ75, as proven by NATO testing, and neither cost more than $250. From our posts, its obvious I know a lot more about guns, especially the CPX2 than you do, so take your advice, name calling, and accusations and shove em.

500 rounds and it's reliable ..please. Only thing you have to do is read reviews that's not under a SALE review of the gun and see that most of the comments on this gun are not favorable. Guns don't have to cost a lot to be reliable at all. I own caniks and love them , a shield , m&ps , and rugers. None of which are more than 400 out the door . They are budget friendly guns that WORK . They work the first time and not after you send the gun back and forth to the manufacturer. Of course you have more experience with POS guns because I know better . A gun is an investment genius... especially if you buy it for self defense. Anyway argue with new gun owners or people who buy guns and don't know much. Your little 500 rounds thru this gun means nothing .....go get training and see if you would have the same opinion afterwards

Given that you still did not answer the question regarding having ever owned the gun you are criticizing, its clear that you fall into the category of people who buy guns and don't know much. I've had plenty of training, thank you very much, and a CCW holder for over 10 years, and a member of the SCCY forum for over 5. Again, you make false assumptions and accusations, yet know nothing about me, what a douche who thinks his opinion trumps other people's direct experience. 500 rounds is plenty to prove reliability for a truck gun that costs less than $200, especially when I have owned two, never had to send either back to the factory, and never had a single misfire, FTF, FTE or jam with three different types of ammo.

See there you go again with the BS . How is 500 round between two pistols enough to say it's reliable. That's bullshit and you know it ...So question what's your edc because I bet you wouldn't edc this gun , that's why you use it as a truck gun . All I'm saying is if you don't edc this gun don't recommend it to other people saying it's a great gun.....tell them it's purpose or role also ...you misleading people to spend hard earned

Again, no data, just BS from Shill. Its none of your business but my EDC is usually a DB9 because it only weighs 11oz and fits in my back jeans pocket. When I carry IWB, then I carry my LC9s, that replaced my Keltec PF9 that got stolen along with my first CPX2, but I wouldn't have any qualms about EDC the CPX2. A 500 rd count on two different samples is statistically more reliable than 1000rds thru a sample size of one. You still haven't offered any data, or any facts and its obvious you have NO experience with this weapon so your opinion is worthless. Your the one misleading people into spending a lot more of their hard earned money when they don't have to.

Don't need to own a weapon that plenty of people have warmed me about . Look up any video on this gun and look at the countless comments on people who own it . It's more negative than good ..that my friend is worth just your single bs review of a gun that you put 250 rounds thru in years of having it . Like I said before you don't EDC this gun for a reason . Also I never said that people have to spend a lot of money for a quality gun ...I would tell them to buy a used shield for 225 then buy this gun that has a TRACK RECORD of failure. The $50 would give them much more of a gun that has a much better track record that this one

Voila, you finally admitted you have absolutely no experience with this gun, just repeating what others have said, that equals pure BS and nothing but hearsay. Trashing a gun with no direct experience is definitely irresponsible.

FYI, after a two hundred round break in with FMJ, plus another 50 with JHP's I quit counting, especially when there have been no FTF, FTE or jams in the first 250 rounds.

I also told you why I don't EDC it, although I never recommended it for EDC in my posts, because I have an ever lighter DB9 that gets most of the carry duty, and a LC9s that has a much better striker fired trigger group, and has been upgraded with both a laser and tritium sights. I never said it was the best gun in the world, but at this price, it is unequaled. At this price, its also a good investment because if you ever want to get rid of it, you can always get your money back, or if it ever needs service, has a lifetime warranty.

Just because I never owned this gun doesn't mean I never shot it .. stop assuming I have no experience with the gun ...I should have made that clear before but like I said before look at the comments under your video you posted and tell me what others say about that gun.....also nothing wrong with buying just don't use it as a edc ..it's a fun gun imo but that's just me

Why would you rip in someone for buying a low cost gun? It's better than not having anything. I'm a budget gun guy too.

Because he's an opinionated self described "expert" know it all that has NO experience with this weapon at all, provides no facts to back up his claims, and thinks his opinion is more valuable than other people's direct experience

Don't have any problem with budget guns AT ALL.. just have a problem with guns that have track records of failure. Don't believe me look up any video on YouTube of reviews on this gun and read the comments from people who shot this gun more than KCSteve who only put 250 rounds thru it in years of owning it , and you will get the truth about it . I would suggest this weapons as smart weapons that are reliable .new /used ..The shield , sdve , canik, Ruger, Glock, m&p , kahr, , and Walther . All can be had for under 400 . Depends on which gun you get you could use it for multiple roles ..ie EDC/home defense/ range toy

I love that fact that you guys are pro 2A . Just don't say that this gun makes you not want a Glock 26 anymore . Nothing wrong with budget guns AT ALL , but there's a difference between budget and POS cheap guns.

Good to have two so when you send one in for repair, you can shoot the other one and vice versa. Good deal.

If your having to mail sidearms to get repaired on a regular basis, you should consider buying a better gun or simply buy the best that you can afford.

True. Bought on a no reserve auction for $190 few years ago. Wanted to check these out and for 190, wasn't much risk.

Actually, I bought one and had so many problems sccy ended up replacing it. The one I have now has only had the ejector break after a few hundred rounds. As long as you keep the round count down, yeah, it's a reliable gun. At this price and with sccys warranty, kinda hard to pass up. Makes a good secondary gun, but it doesn't replace a hk or whatever your preference for subcompact would be. What i said in my original post is true. If u have two of these, you can shoot the hell out of one until it breaks, which it will, and while you're waiting for sccy to fix it, shoot the hell out of the other one.

One thing that's annoying sccy does is they won't send certain parts directly to you. I had to have my replacement ejector shipped to a ffl, kinda stupid I thought.

Helluva Deal, at this price, everyone should have one. I've owned two CPX2's, the first was stolen out of my car and replaced by SCCY for free under their now discontinued replacement policy warranty after sending them the PD report. I was flat amazed on that one! Too bad they had to discontinue it.

This gun is a great truck gun or dedicated bedside friend that is a no nonsense DAO 9mm with 10+1 capacity and includes a second mag. Yes its a long heavy trigger pull (that's the "safety") but the slide doesn't have to move to reset the trigger meaning you can just keep pulling the trigger on ammo that may have stubborn primer.

At 15oz empty, its lighter than most of its competitors in the 17-22oz range, recoil isn't too bad even for smaller people, and plenty accurate to defend yourself. Even though I prefer my really small and light 11oz DB9 for daily carry, the CPX could easily be a daily carry. I've run WWB, Fed Champion and S&B 115gr FMJ and Fed Classic 115gr JHP's with no issue, just goes bang when you pull the trigger.

Most naysayers or reported reliability issues are from limp wristing or trying to shoot one handed which is always a problem with a lightweight 9 if the recoil force is misdirected. They have redesigned the guide rod a couple times since I have owned it and SCCY not only has a lifetime warranty but service was very responsive and sent me the upgrades for no charge. Same goes with those who had frame pins walking out, they sent them oversized pins for free. That's standing behind your product! The SCCYForum.com is also full of fellow owners ready to answer questions and share their experiences.

Hard to argue with a record low. Can't imagine these going cheaper.
