Great deal and FREE SHIP! Throw it together with a $25 EP Armory lower for a $315 complete rifle!
Is this what is different for the Tactical upgrade?
HANDGUARD Tactical: 15" vs Standard: 12"
CHARGING HANDLE Tactical: Deluxe Oversized Ambidextrous vs. Standard: Milspec Standard GI Style
Can you please explain exactly what the "Tactical" upgrade changes/adds?
The Tactical Upgrade: $14.99 gives you Two Upgraded Components. First, is an upgrade from a standard charge Handle to a DLX Ambidextrous Charge Handle. Second, is an upgrade from a 12" Handrail to a 15" Handrail. There is a picture of Tactical Upgrade Model on the product page so you can see the difference.
By the way, I saw the picture, but since there is not an assembled standard picture I couldn't easily tell the handguard difference. And I couldn't really tell what was different about the charge handle from the picture... I had to infer it from reading the details on the Tactical product and comparing to the standard product details. Thank you for clearing up the confusion.
But, to be fair, it is shown in the text below the picture :) which I missed
i just finished my ceratac build using a 5D 80% lower. I have not test fired it yet but i have built a lot of AR's and i bet this one will kick out whatever ammo i run in it. shipping was way fast and you cant beat the price. there is a little slop between the upper and lower though.
Thanks for the kind words. I just wanted to take a minute and let you if you have any issues just give us a call and we'll take care of it. I'm not familiar with the 5D 80% lower receiver but if it is Mil-Spec it should be fine. FYI, a little wiggle between the upper and lower is fine so long as it is within design tolerances for the parts, approximately .010"
you have to make the CA complient changes yourself. Either install a patriot mag release , or go featureless
Do you sell the jig? If so,how much? If not,who do you recommended buying the jig from and what would it cost?
Jigs will be available shortly on the website for sale.
AR's are crazy cheap right now. I bought one of the pistol kits. It was shipped within hours. Very impressed so far
Update: assembled the kit, went together fairly well. The barrel turned out to be stainless and in 223 wylde with 1/7 twist. The safety selector was pretty chewed up and didn't work but I had a spare. The bolt catch spring was a little long as well but after a little trim it functions like it should. Overall I'd recommend! It did ship crazy fast, got it in a few days from time of purchase.
Does the assembled lower require ffl transfer?
Assembly is for Upper Receiver. The Lower Receivers we sell are 80% so it they can't be assembled until they are finished. As such they are NOT considered firearms and do NOT require a Federal Firearms License to do the transfer. Our 80% kits ship direct to your door.
So you can have a complete assembled rifle for $299+ $44.99? Any M-Lok handguard rail versions?
All the parts are included for the price advertised. Assembly is for the Upper Receiver only. 80% Lowers Receivers can not be assembled until they are finished to 100%. M-Lok Handrails are not available currently.
Never mind on the 7075 question... I missed the line above that says anodized, aircraft grade 7075 T6 aluminum.
Other questions still valid...
Can you provide any information on the lower receivers you offer with your kits? Billet or forged? 7075? Which jig/tooling kit works with it? Does the jig come with it?
I picked up the 5D router Jig. $250 with tools. Fits any M.S . Lower. Easy to use, hard to screw up. Lol Check em out.
7075 Forged Mil-Spec Lower Receivers are what we offer in all out 80% kits. All the parts are included but we do not provide any tooling (Jig, end mills or drill bits. Any jig that can accommodate a Mil-Spec Ar15 Lower Receiver will work.
Thanks for the info. Just to be clear, the Anderson jig will work?
Yes, I believe it should work just fine.
If it is designed to fit a Mil-Spec Lower Receiver then it should work just fine.

That's for a polymer receiver?
