The tilted lens helps cut down on your RDS acting like a flashlight revealing your location to anything [or -one] you're drawing a bead on...

I really like the $20 fieldsport I have abused. But this has a smaller moa dot so I will splurge. Will Put the fieldsport on my Hi-Point with a riser so can still use the factory irons. Stick this new one on my ar47 blade pistol "legal" sbr.
Just got back from the range using one of these on a WASR-10 AK type. Only shot out to 25yrds (max they have there) but was easy to dial in and stayed there for 100 rnds. The true test will be to see where it is next trip fresh out of the case!
Sarcasm aside this a great optic for the money. I've had several of them with no issues at all, used on AR platform.
Narrowed my optic choice down to this or an Elcan Specter DR

I picked one up for $45 a while back when there was a $40 rebate and I've used it on my 10/22 takedown for 2000+ rounds without issue. I wouldn't put it on a gun with recoil but, for a semi-auto .22lr this thing is more than adequate.
I own a 22lr so I can get a few hundred more rounds in on the cheap each time I go to the range. I wouldn't waste good money on a nice optic for a plinker that cost me $250.
put it on my GLOCK .43. didn't work for more than a few rounds. dissapointed . i'm gunna buy another GLOCK and see if it fits when i get my check at the beginning of the month.

You used the wrong kind of duct tape. Only Realtree Camo tape works for Glawks.
Who knew Glock made a model in .43cal? %-) BTW, this budget RDS [which is only marginal on a bolt-action 22lr, DAMHIK] isn't going to stand up to the multiple (tens?) of Gs acceleration of a pistol slide, let aside being too large & heavy & having in impact on reliability...

This thing was a great buy last year at ~$30 after rebate. Can't see buying it at this price w/o another rebate to sweeten the deal, it's just not that great a performer...
In for two! At $30 each, you can't beat having one on your gun and one in the closet as a cheap backup.

The TRS 25 is pretty much the leader in inexpensive red dot sights, Some may have better looks but its gonna be hard to beat the little TRS 25 unless you spend almost double the money.

Beware of scammers. If its a Just Launched seller with amazing prices and no or negative feedback and shipping is 2 weeks then they have no product and you will be SCAMMED
Either way screen shot the Amazon page saying it is part of the rebate and when the claim gets rejected by Bushnell, raise holy hell with Amazon. I predict it will take you 3 minutes or less to get a $40 refund.
You don't even have to raise hell, just talk to them and explain the situation and I guarantee they will make it right, like they ALWAYS do 4 me, and I have been a prime member for over 14 years! Amazon just can't be beat, if more companies followed their customer service lead then there would be less of them going out of business! Just my 2 cents...

So i ordered one from Amazon and got it today. I went to the online rebate form link and put in the upc code from the box. It spit back the details of this exact product, Trs-25, and approved me for $40 rebate. Now i just mail completed form it generated with my receipt and bar code from box and wait.

I'm pretty sure this won't work with the rebate listed. I know some have said it is a riflescope, which is true, but the rebate specifically says only "Bushnell Trophy or Trophy Extreme" which this would not qualify for. I have completed Bushnell rebates in the past and it does matter what line of scope it is. If anyone else could confirm I would appreciate it. I would like to purchase if I'm wrong. Thanks
Nevermind, I'm an idiot.....the T in TRS means Trophy and doing an online search for UPCs it looks like most of them will work with the online rebate verification. Just wanted to update so no one held off based on my comment. Thanks
The T does mean trophy but the description for the trs 25 is a red dot, not a scope. Click on a " scope" and the description states scope. No where on the bushnell website is this a scope it is a red dot. Amazon clearly made a mistake with this they are the only site showing a rebate. Rebate for $40 is for binoculars, riflescope, range finder, spotting scope. The rebate for all bushnell products (25%) ended 5 days ago.
Wrong. Bushnell says this red dot is part of the rebate and this product is even listed under "riflescopes" on their website.
I called customer service yesterday and this is not part of the rebate. This is a red dot sight, not a rifle scope
Last night these were $15 AR, Don't you love it how Amazon jacks up prices on items on a whim?
I didn't bite at them even at 15 because I became aware of a problem with the new production ones.
Apparently new production has the emitter at 6'o'clock, as well as a tilted front lens.
Apparently this makes the dot disappear rather quickly if the sight is tilted up.
You can see some youtube videos illustrating the problems.
Reviewers also complained.. check the 1stars.
A few people have contacted Bushnell about it, They are aware of the problem and pretty much told the owners.. tough titty.. this is how they're made now.
I plan on buying some of the fieldsport's which run around 20.
