3 downvotes for bad product... Is there something wrong with these mags or just downvoting the need for a 40 rd mag in general??
My friend and I are chancing it at $11.99 non-member price per mag, free shipping using code SH1005. I picked up 4 and he is getting 6. Reviews on SG's site is (41) 5 star ratings, (7) 1 star with most issues stating only being able to fit 35-36 rounds, and not seating right or at all in certain manufacturers lowers. That works out to about a 14% chance of being burned...some of the negative reviews did say that customer service was good and mags were exchanged...although some still had issues with the replacement as well.
Since I have 4 ARs all by different manufacturers, I'm pretty sure they will work in at least 1 of mine and won't be a total waste. My percentage of being boned comes down to 3.57% if I divide it by 4...but now I'm a little worried for him as he only has one AR, a S&W M&P Sport II. Anyone out there tried these in the Sport II??
I believe they are garbage. If they are marked CPD or ASC, they should be fine. However, I think they are KBI, which are junk. Googling "KBI Mags" shows this listing on SPG as one of the first results. KBI and National mags are usually made with crap materials and poor quality control. Often times, if no MFG is listed, it's one of them and because they have a bad rep. SPG will just list it as "made to military specifications" or something like that. Promags are also usually crap.
National mags are made by a company called LG enterprises out of Alabama. But yes, they are crap! Not seen any decent reviews. Alot of complaints about floating rounds and major feed issues.
