All our barrels are turned and profiled in house and our coatings are done at a trusted supplier.
Ordered Monday, got here on Wednesday. All the parts were in perfect shape. The upper receiver is Anchor Harvey. Shipped with one of Combat Armory's barrels. The free-floated m-lok handguard is very lightweight and pleasing to the eye. Very skeletonized by very nice looking. The dust cover was already assembled and just needed to be popped into place. Super inexpensive, showed up in lightning speed. I have a new favorite for upper kits. I wish they sold this with an 11.5 or 12 inch barrel though. Or even sold them separately.
It says 119.99 on here but the website says $140 am I missing something?
Got there a little late, that's all. $120 sale is over. I'm still buying one. $140 is still cheaper by $20 than anywhere else but it needs to be assembled.
Guessing were a little late on the party
Do you need a code for this price? It’s showing a price of $140
Great deal! I bought it for the upper and handguard, knowing that I wanted a Ballistic Advantage barrel, just preference. Well worth it! The barrel is from Bear Creek, though they don't make this model anymore. The finish is a little thin on the handguard, making a cerakote job even more appealing.
CA does need to increase their customer service response time, but I guess that's part of the price you pay for great deals.
From Combat Armory themselves: "All our barrels are turned and profiled in house and our coatings are done at a trusted supplier."
I ordered a 10.5 it arrived 4 days later. I put it together and am happy with the quality. This is a great deal
Outstanding deal. I ordered my 10.5 upper set and received 4 days after I placed the order order. I can honestly say that everything looks in great condition. I've already assembled and now I'm just waiting to take to the range. I've added combat armory to my list of favorites for any other future deals.
Man I ordered this upper Sunday and here it is Tuesday already delivered. A+ for fast shipping...everything appears to be pretty good cosmetically so I'll give it a B until I complete this build and see how it runs.
I ordered a handguard from them that was on sale and I'm happy with it. I compared it to my Radical Firearms handguard and I think the finish on combat armory is much better. It looks and feels exactly the same as my upper and lower and the radical one feels more grainy or not as smooth.
Forgot to mention the hand guard I ordered is the exact same one in the picture. I also forgot to mention I had to use lock tight to keep the screws from coming loose on the hand guard after i went shooting.
The only reason not to put threadlocker on those screws is if they came with it pre-applied. No biggie, should have a fresh bottle of blue in everyone’s kit.
Hmm I want this but many bad reviews about this company on various forums....
I have placed multiple orders with them and have been very satisfied with everything so far. Take the chance, you won't be disappointed!
Rest assured. You can be sure, we have made large investments in our customer service operations and quality control since then. We service large OEMs historically and now are trying to gain our operational footing in the retail consumer market. All I can tell you we are working hard to get things right and work harder when they are not.
Are these threaded 1/2x28? The site doesnt say?
I built one using all of their parts, and a poverty lower. Everything was fine, would do again.
I wasn’t in the market but guess I’ll order first thing in the morning. Screw it.
Can’t build one at this price point anywhere else. I believe these have a much higher quality of metals and finish than PSA. C.A. Is going to take over. Mike needs to hire someone to answer his emails though. TIGHTEN UP MIKE!!!! Hahahahaha Jk
I received this kit and it looks great. Well made. It is my first upper I am going to assemble. I had purchased an armorer's wrench off ebay and that tool doesn't work on this barrel nut. As best I can tell when I put a crescent wrench on it I think it is 1 3/16. From my research it appears that I need a 1 3/16 inch crows foot wrench. Anyone hear can confirm this for me before I spend more money on a one time use wrench? I thought about using my crescent wrench but I know it's not ideal.
1-3/16 crows foot is correct. I also ordered a few of these along with some LPK’s and BCG’s. Everything but one of the uppers looks good, especially for the price. I’m gonna be reaching out to combat armory about the one receiver that’s got some noticeable tool marks on the upper (outside surface). Will update with my resolution
private message me your order number if you have not resolved this all ready thank you.
Thanks for the answer. I'll get that ordered. I actually put it all together without any problems and just need to torque that barrel nut and put the handguard on and it's off to the range to test her out. I think I'm going to order another one.
Quick shipping, got mine in today and I have the following observations.
1. Small ding on a section of the rail. This could be from shipping but to be honest, you only see it if you know you're looking for it.
2. Minor fitting with a cheap file I had on hand, where the disconnector/hammer mate up. I also needed to smooth out a small section on the inner part of the gas block so it didn't scratch up the barrel when installing. Overall, less than 5 minutes of effort on my part.
I should clarify that I used a CombatArmory lower parts kit that I bought as part of a prior order.
Just something to look out for,
Thanks
Bought one last week came in a few days every piece was brand new with little to no slop grease or oil. Paired it with a Karri complete lower with shockwave brace. $300.00 for a mil spec all metal AR pistol with brace. Best deal around quality parts and Mike at Combat Armory offers superior customer service.
That's a great price for the total build. Did you have to buy a BCG and charging handle too? It looks like they aren't included from the description. Thanks.
I recently bought a BCG from Combat Armory and it went out within a 1-2 business days via USPS priority.
I just ordered the 7" handguard for $22.94 shipped. I wasn't going to do it but it's a extra 100 bucks in my pocket that I would have spent on a big name one.
Good luck with the quality, I ordered a handguard and barrel last month, Barrel looked ok handguard looked like they had their kids touch up a bunch of it with a sharpie
NO SHIT!!!! It says that 3 times in the product description. "Unassembled"......"assembly required"......."kit".......kinda obvious don't you think?
This price is ridiculous! Paired with one of those Kerri's lowers and a cheap BCG you could have yourself a sub $275 AR.
Definitely recommend. I ordered this a couple months ago and had an issue but Combat Armory got in touch with me and got it taken care of. After their assistance it is a GREAT upper! Impressed with the product and service
