Anyone have their spouse buy another 1k rounds and use the rebate as well? "Maximum of a $5 rebate per qualifying product and $50 per household."

TIA

new code active for today only H7X $30 off of $300. prefect for the 400 rounds of Megatech 45acp added with this. all for only $273.91. yeah i think i scored here. plus i still will get my rebate. of $49.99! lol feeling good today lol

Code "H7L" only works if the Item Subtotal is $200 and greater. So, the 1000/case option comes out to be $199.99 which is below $200 so the code will not apply. You will have to purchase another item to bring the subtotal to $200+ for the code to work.

Still, in terms of total pricing, the 1000/case option still comes out the cheapest if you add an item to your cart under $1.

The other two options for the 50/box and 100/box will apply the code just fine.

Hope this clears things up.

i just contacted Brownells and the person i talked to said that the "1000" round case does not qualify for the rebate. can someone clear this up? i'm reading different on the below comments.

It qualifies for rebate. It comes in 50 or 100 boxes. Cut upc from boxes. Tape to a sheet of paper and circle the item on the receipt. Some of the employees at these places are misinformed

Just stopped working for me. H7U now works for $15 off. Glad I bought when I did.

Do I have to cut every single UPC tag from each 50 round box?

Yes you do.

How do the online submissions work then?

Anyone have experience in how fast and reliably that Federal is processing these rebates? (Hate dealing with them!)

Yes. I bought mine on 7/31/17 and got my rebate check on Friday 9/15/17.

I'd agree. Took mine about 2months. Same with my century arms rebate now

** With the code "H7L" I ordered the 1k rounds and added a detent spring for a grand total of 200.47 and that's shipped to my front door! What an amazing deal! After the code they take off $20 so it's 180.47. Which is still $18 a box which is $1 less than I get at Walmart BUT with the %25 rebate the total will be $135 shipped to my door! AMEN! 13.50 per box 100 vs $19-$20 per 100 umm yeah I'm all over this deal!

Ok, my turn for a maybe obvious question. I've seen gun companies do online rebate forms two different ways. One, you put in the info, and it accepts it, no mailing of anything necessary. The other, you put in your info in the online form, and it allows you to print a "prefillled" paper form for mailing in. Which is this?

0 votes
0 votes

you can print the form and fill it out or you can do it online and it will print out the form for you, they recommend online as it will process quicker once it arrives.

Thanks. Exactly what I wanted to know.

Does anyone know how the rebate works with the 1000 round case? It seems the rebate states the maximum per item is $5 so would that be only $5 for the case or would it qualify for the maximum of $50 for all boxes in the case?

0 votes
0 votes

Each box in the 1k round order has a UPC, $5/box maximum rebate. 20 boxes in the 1k priced order. Why would it matter?

1 vote
0 votes

The way I read the rebate, it says "Maximum of a $5 rebate per qualifying product", the 1000 round bundle may be considered 1 qualifying product since it is one SKU.

0 votes

the 1000 rnd box is filled with (20) 50 round boxes.... or something like that, so it counts as individual boxes not 1

Anyone know if the promo code voids the rebate? The firm states "This rebate may not be combined with any other offers or coupons affecting the same product". Also, if they do still accept it, do we rite in the original price, or the price after the promo code?

0 votes
0 votes

The promo code is used to purchase from Brownells . The rebate is from FA for AE handgun ammo. Brownells and FA are two separate entities. Hence, you can enjoy a discount from Brownells and a cash back from FA.

In this case it was ok, but in many cases that promo code would count as being "combined with another offer". Case in point, I called on same situation ($20 off promo code for cabelas), for a savage rite I want to buy that has a $100 mail in rebate. For the savage it was a no go, either the cabelas promo for $20 or a $109 mail in rebate, not both.

how do you know it was ok in this situation?

Called vista outdoor rebates, and explained the above deal and use of promo code for knocking $20 off the price. She said this is fine, still qualifies, just put the price after rebate (so in my case approx $180) and thy will give %25 off of that (no %25 off of what was saved via promo code). Wish I would have called prior to this, before the price change, as I would have ordered 11 boxes to max out my savings ($45 vs $50 on the rebate after promo code).

***I received an email this morning from Brownells, the price per box went up $3, i received one bill for a total of $180 on Saturday, and received a new bill this morning for $210. I am working with them and waiting to hear back. Please check to make sure they didn't raise your bill.

Received shipment tracking info this morning and the bill was still $180 on mine.

Oh I can beat that one.
I just spent nearly an hour talking to 4 different people 2 on the live chat and 2 on the phone.

Original order came thru just fine, Paid with a egift card.. this morning I get 2 emails, the first says I need to call in a credit card number.. the 2nd one had the billing address wrong, actually it was my uncles old address.

So it took several people several times to kill the order, and find out that the egift card was not valid.. yet.. why the system took it in the first place *shrug*.

Still no explanation as to why it had crossed the billing info and it actually had the order set to my uncles account.

Some very WTF stuff going on at brownells.

I've currently been told to wait several hours before trying to use the egift card, thankfully the stuff is still in stock.. for now..
I can tell you one thing if it wasn't for the fact of 200 dollars wrapped up in gift cards I would have just given up already.

I added a AR-15 detent spring for $0.49 and made the total $200.48. After entering the discount code, it came to $180.48. After the rebate, this will be a killer deal.

Just bought 1000. Like Atlb22r said, even if the rebate doesn't come through, $0.18/round is good. $0.135 is great!

On rebates: I've been doing them since before the dot com bubble burst (circa late 90s) and only had one rejected. You need to follow the instructions to the letter and you'll be okay. This rebate says "with purchase date, store name/location, purchase price and item(s) circled"; do it! Circle them all.

ALWAYS keeps copies/scans of everything you submit!

well here's a question for ya.
What are you putting as the total in the rebate form, the unit price or the total price? unit price is wrong since the promo code comes off the in the order sub total.

Also the invoice does not say federal american eagle.. just a generic "9mm Luger 115gr Full Metal Jacket"

Help. I get the Ammo and the code to work but not sure what the "filler" is? More product to make the code work?

Thx in advance.

Add something cheap. I added Lucas. Use code h7l. Takes $20 off of $200 and free shipping it takes it to $180 then you'll get $25% rebate

Just did exactly this. If these deals keep up I'm going to sell the house and build a new one out of ammo crates and AR's.

Hey how does the mail in rebate exactly work? Never done one before

0 votes
0 votes

Well the instructions are pretty clear but here's the gist.

Buy product
Register online or print form and fill it out.. registering online should process faster once it arrives.

Next cut out all the UPC bar codes from the ammo boxes.
Tape them to a piece of paper a normal size 8.5x11 sheet will easily fit 20 UPCs

use something like scotch tape, roll it around your finger to make a loop (sticky facing out) put it on the back of the upc then place the upc on the sheet of paper and smooth it flat.

Include a copy of your invoice with the form and upc's and mail it to the address it says to.

wait 6-8 weeks for your rebate to be approved and sent to you.. it might be less it might be more it varies.
