Description

PolyCase®’s Inceptor™ line of ammunition features PolyCase’s patent-pending Cu/P™ bullet technology, loaded in traditional high-quality brass. The FIREFLY™ TRACER bullet has the same pinpoint precision and low-recoil as the RNP™ PRECISION, and also incorporates a short-range tracer. Inceptor™ Firefly™ rounds will change the way you experience handgun and 9mm carbine shooting.

Being able to see your shot from muzzle to target will not only make you a better shooter, but will make the entire experience of shooting a lot more fun. The Firefly™ round functions effectively as a shot path indicator for competition and duty purposes, and is also a great way to introduce novice shooters to the sport.

Mine arrived in two days after order. I'll post back after I shoot some of it but the speedy shipping was an unexpected bonus.

How does this stuff compare to the x-tac green tip 62 gr

Just hit the range with this for the first time (Daniel Defense DD4 rifle). 180 rounds, no misfires or FTEs. Accuracy was excellent. No noticeable fouling. All in all seems like a very solid round, more military grade than the xtac (this is fully sealed, primers too). Xtac from my recollection is really a plinking round, even at 62 grains (prior experience - I did not have any xtac to do a side by side).

I prefer the green tip...the green paint makes it a lot better and looks more cool!

Ok, now that you've had your fun......could someone take 30 seconds and give me two sentences with your insight ....and save me two hours of research on metaliergic composition, partical residuals and ballistic performance. I was under the impression that x-tac green tips were marketed as on par with 855's but perhaps that is what makes me a noob.

Beerlover,

PMC X-TAC M855 is almost identical to NATO M855 just lacking the NATO stamp. PMC markets their X-TAC M855 to be a round that people can depend their life on and that it meets mil-specs, which far exceeds SAAMI commercial specs. Additionally PMC X-TAC is LAP ammo. This means it is designated as Light Armor Piercing (LAP) due to the steel core. Very rarely will you ever see anything bad posted on forums about PMC products.

Just tried a dry run.
Selected 3000 rounds and it came up as 360 per 1000. Added the "BGAA" coupon and NO CHANGE to amount. Entered it again and it said that it had already applied the coupon, even though the amount never changed. Filled out shipping to AL. $86.13 FedEx Home. You guys need to fix your site before trying to do business. Using customers as beta testers is not the way to gain trust. I'm out of this deal and company.

No Coupon Required on 5.56, although the BGAA 5% coupon will still work on all other items on our site. We took another $1 off of the price of a case of 1,000 rds and offered an even better deal than before! Previous price with BGAA coupon: $361 /1,000. New price without coupon: $360. We are not beta testing, but trying to provide the best deal for our clients. We would highly recommend that you order two cases of 1,500 rounds instead of three cases of 1,000, as shipping three boxes instead of two is more expensive. Your shipping price would be approximately $72 to AL for an order total of $1,152 or $384 /1,000 cartridges of 2013 Factory New 5.56 shipped to your door!

Not very slick here. Shipping to Louisville KY brings it to around .38/round

Inventory is buliding up...I won't bite until I see at least .35/round out the door.

We don't have long. With the holidays coming up people's purchasing priorities are about to change dramatically. A month from now the prices on just about "everything gun" are gonna drop like lead balloons. They're gonna have to or they won't sell. Of course then again, we're talking about the same group of "Defenders of liberty" who happily buy 22lr at .10cpr and unfinished lowers for more money than a complete one, so you never know.

I recommend staying diligent...I do my best not to make other people rich.

Mine arrived in 2 days, I was surprised how fast it arrived. Shot 120 rounds, no misfires, no jams. Strange stapled boxes, but seems like very decent ammo.

Mine did too. Very fast. Good looking ammo, but haven't had a chance to go shoot yet.

Hey everyone. Price of the 5.56 is now $0.36 per round. Just got another huge shipment in.

My real question is this stuff any good. The last thing I want to do is put crap down my LMT 10.5 monolithic upper with my Surefire FA 556-212 suppressor. Thousands of dollars there to risk to an unknown company. Anyone have any thoughts?

Yea, I think you're a mall ninja.

24 votes
6 votes

Not sure where you got the idea of a mall ninja from my post. I was just looking for some real insight into this ammo. I just got 2,000 rounds of Federal XM855 for about $460 shipped and the XM855 has so many crap rounds in it. I have inspected about 600 rounds of it so far and about 70 or so rounds are a bit scary related to the way the bullets are seated in the brass and some have deep dents. I am looking for some good economic M855 to storing for when infrastructure falls and I wanted to know if this stuff is worth buying.

Because nobudy really cares about the gear queer specs on your gun,

1 vote

Cough Cough BULLSHIT. You did not just buy xm855 at $230 per 1k unless it was stolen. If you did, they saw you coming a mile away and sold you the rounds loaded with black pepper instead of black powder.

The reason dude called mall ninja status on you is because you're on a forum bragging up thousands of dollars of tax stamp hardware yet seem completely inexperienced and unaware of what it will or won't eat. For what you supposedly have into it, it should eat anything. What else would you be paying for? A name? Anyone who spends that kind of money for a gun that doesn't run got robbed, and there's a lot of robbing going on. All the "top tiers" are doing it. Then again, you can't rob the willing.

Anyway, you paid all that money to be spooked about what to feed it? That's RICH and o doubt, ULTIMATE NINJA STATUS.

Now all you need is the hat, mask and gloves. You're set.

Aim4Pigs,

One thing I don't do is bullshit. Lanbo's Armory had the deal for two 1,000 boxes of Federal XM855 for about $430 prior to shipping. It was a savings of 54%. When the item shipped weighing only 26 lbs I knew there was a problem. I contacted Lanbo's Armory and received no response for almost a week. After the wait I was told it was a mistake on the website but Lanbo honored the price and sent the remaining 1,000 rounds. By the way Federal XM855 is total crap ... I mean total crap. The only reason I ever bought that crap was the price. As for what I have and what I use in it. I was not bragging. I have way more Class III stuff. I was just asking for one specific rifle. I have used real Class III weapons in real world action. In fact, the only animal I have ever hunted in my entire life are two legged animals. The reality is when it is my gear and I paid for it I baby it. If it was government issue then so be it if it breaks it gets replaced. That is the only reason I asked. As for this ninja crap I don't even understand it. The term ninja is used by IT geeks to sit back behind their computers and make fun of others. I do real shit in the real world. On the other hand, I bet you like to claim to be a hunter but the only thing you are hunting are boars on World of Warcraft. You my friend should look in the mirror before you call other people names.

do you want to risk your can on ammo from a country that can't mount a front sight straight on an ak? That being said it's just dirty ball ammo. Century imported some a few years ago under the hotshot label you might find a review of it under that brand name.

I wish I could find some PMC X-TAC 62GR for around this price. Too bad X-TAC is becoming harder and harder to find.

SG shipped me cases of PMC XTAC 62gr tmd for $370 in August.

Here we are two months later paying more and eating the shipping? I don't understand you guys. What's all the hype about? Shouldn't the thumbs be reversed? This "deal" is mediocre at best.

If you can link me to that deal right now, thanks. If not, stfu... a fluctuation of less than 10% months later isn't significant unless you're a dealer... or are you paying with EBT and on a fixed budget?

Thank You For The Heads Up. Our sale price was on a schedule to expire and our management inadvertently set the expiration time incorrectly. So, to make up for this mistake, we have reset the 1,500 round case to the $.38 /cartridge discount and ADDED the $.38 /cartridge discount price to the 1,000 round case! With our 5% Grand Opening discount code "BGAA", the total case price on the 1,500 round case is $541.50 (or $.361 per cartridge) and the on the 1,000 round case is $361 (or $.361 per cartridge). Mr. Jericho, we and your fellow customers owe you big time!!

$37 to ship a case of 1500 rounds to Missouri. If I bought 5 of those cases, it goes up to $56 per case. Doesn't make any sense??? I guess I should just put in 5 different orders and save about $100.

We appreciate your post. Please contact us at [email protected] at your convenience. We would like your help in reviewing this shipping issue. We agree that the system should never have produced a quote that ridiculous. In fact, unless a person ordered 500 rounds in increments of 100 rounds (which would produce a very high shipping quote), our highest shipping rate for a box of 500 rounds, in the U.S., shows under $30.

Shipping System Tested - OK. Our highest online shipping rate to NH is $22.98 on a box of 500 rounds of rifle ammunition. Please try your order, again. If you run into issues, we would appreciate you contacting us at [email protected] so we can assist you, as there may be an issue with the FedEx application. We appreciate you raising your concern to us.
