The bullet's polymer tip increases the ballistic coefficient for flatter trajectory, and the tip pushes back into the lead core upon impact to initiate rapid expansion, even at long rage. SST Bullets feature a super streamline profile with a secant ogive and boattail to further enhance flat trajectory and reduce wind drift. Hornady's Interlock® Ring locks jacket to the core, preventing jacket/core separation for great weight retention and deep penetration. Hornady SST Bullets have a cannelure to ensure a solid crimp, ideal for reloading hunting ammunition.
