Problem with that plan is that if you need one, you may or not have one, or you have one and it's in the wrong location. These aren't so expensive, I've seen bulk packs that save you a few bucks, that may be a better plan than the auto subscription. My plan is I hope I never have to use this product.

With that said, I have one of these kits in my home med kit and I keep one in my trunk. (I keep it in the trunk because this Qwik Clot kit takes up to much room in my car's glove box)

The nice thing about Kwik Clot is that the active ingredient kaolin is stable in both the cold and in the heat. I used to keep Epinephrine auto injectors in my car's med kit, but now that I live in the south, epinephrine can't tolerate the heat like Kaolin.

A product I found useful in a pinch is Kutkit Styptic Swabs, it's like a Styptic pencil on steroids. It's only 5 dollars and pretty much a Q-Tip with a liquid ampule you break like a glow stick. It's pretty good at stopping minor bleeding, and if you cut yourself shaving you don't have to open your Qwik Clot kit :)
